Kummer and its acceptance as type species of Armillaria (Fr.:Fr.) Staude. Due to recognition of different type species over the years and an extremely variable generic concept, at least 274 species and varieties have been placed in Armillaria (or in Armillariella Karst., its obligate synonym). Only about forty species belong in the genus Armillaria sensu stricto, while the rest can be placed in forty-three other modem genera. This study is based on original descriptions in the literature, as well as studies of type specimens and generic and species concepts by other authors. This publication consists of an alphabetical listing of all epithets used in Armillaria or Armillariella, with their basionyms, currently accepted names, and other obligate and facultative synonyms. -

Clavaria diverticulata, Clavulinopsis dimorphica and Clavulinopsis imperata are new species, and Clavaria gibbsiae, Clavaria fumosa and Clavulinopsis helvola are reported for the first time for the country. Illustrations of the basidiomata and the microstructures are provided for all taxa, as well as SEM images of ornamented basidiospores which occur in Clavulinopsis helvola and Ramariopsis kunzei. A key to the Clavariaceae of Brazil is also included. Key words: clavarioid; morphology; taxonomy Introduction Clavariaceae Chevall. (Agaricales) comprises species with various types of basidiomata, including clavate, coralloid, resupinate, pendant-hydnoid and hygrophoroid forms (Hibbett & Thorn 2001, Birkebak et al. 2013). The family was first proposed to accommodate mostly saprophytic club and coral-like fungi that were previously placed in Clavaria Vaill. ex. L., including species that are now in other genera and families, such as Clavulina J.Schröt. -

Data are related to mycological researches carried out mainly in some holm-oak woods through last three years. The new taxa collected amount to 172: 15 of them belonging to Ascomycota and 157 to Basidiomycota. It should be highlighted that 12 taxa have been recorded for the first time in Italy and many species are considered rare or infrequent. Each taxa reported consists of the following items: Latin name, author, habitat, height, and the WGS-84 Global Position System (GPS) coordinates. This work, together with the original Ligurian checklist, represents a contribution to the national checklist. Key words—mycological flora, new reports Introduction Liguria represents a very interesting region from a mycological point of view: macrofungi, directly and not directly correlated to vegetation, are frequent, abundant and quite well distributed among the species. This topic is faced and discussed in Zotti & Orsino (2001). Observations prove an high level of fungal biodiversity (sometimes called “mycodiversity”) since Liguria, though covering only about 2% of the Italian territory, shows more than 36 % of all the species recorded in Italy. -

Nelson Chaves s/n, Recife 50670-420 Brazil *CORRESPONDENCE TO: [email protected] ABSTRACT — Based on an intensive search of literature about clavarioid fungi (Agaricomycetes: Basidiomycota) in Brazil and revision of material deposited in Herbaria PACA and URM, a list of 195 taxa was compiled. These are distributed into six orders (Agaricales, Cantharellales, Gomphales, Hymenochaetales, Polyporales and Russulales) and 12 families (Aphelariaceae, Auriscalpiaceae, Clavariaceae, Clavulinaceae, Gomphaceae, Hymenochaetaceae, Lachnocladiaceae, Lentariaceae, Lepidostromataceae, Physalacriaceae, Pterulaceae, and Typhulaceae). Among the 22 Brazilian states with occurrence of clavarioid fungi, Rio Grande do Sul, Paraná and Amazonas have the higher number of species, but most of them are represented by a single record, which reinforces the need of more inventories and taxonomic studies about the group. KEY WORDS — diversity, taxonomy, tropical forest Introduction The clavarioid fungi are a polyphyletic group, characterized by coralloid, simple or branched basidiomata, with variable color and consistency. They include 30 genera with about 800 species, distributed in Agaricales, Cantharellales, Gomphales, Hymenochaetales, Polyporales and Russulales (Corner 1970; Petersen 1988; Kirk et al. 2008). These fungi are usually humicolous or lignicolous, but some can be symbionts – ectomycorrhizal, lichens or pathogens, being found in temperate, subtropical and tropical forests (Corner 1950, 1970; Petersen 1988; Nelsen et al. 2007; Henkel et al. 2012). Some species are edible, while some are poisonous (Toledo & Petersen 1989; Henkel et al. 2005, 2011). Diversity of Macromycetes in the Botanical Garden “Jevremovac” in Belgrade
40 (2): (2016) 249-259 Original Scientific Paper Diversity of macromycetes in the Botanical Garden “Jevremovac” in Belgrade Jelena Vukojević✳, Ibrahim Hadžić, Aleksandar Knežević, Mirjana Stajić, Ivan Milovanović and Jasmina Ćilerdžić Faculty of Biology, University of Belgrade, Takovska 43, 11000 Belgrade, Serbia ABSTRACT: At locations in the outdoor area and in the greenhouse of the Botanical Garden “Jevremovac”, a total of 124 macromycetes species were noted, among which 22 species were recorded for the first time in Serbia. Most of the species belong to the phylum Basidiomycota (113) and only 11 to the phylum Ascomycota. Saprobes are dominant with 81.5%, 45.2% being lignicolous and 36.3% are terricolous. Parasitic species are represented with 13.7% and mycorrhizal species with 4.8%. Inedible species are dominant (70 species), 34 species are edible, five are conditionally edible, eight are poisonous and one is hallucinogenic (Psilocybe cubensis). A significant number of representatives belong to the category of medicinal species. These species have been used for thousands of years in traditional medicine of Far Eastern nations. Current studies confirm and explain knowledge gained by experience and reveal new species which produce biologically active compounds with anti-microbial, antioxidative, genoprotective and anticancer properties. Among species collected in the Botanical Garden “Jevremovac”, those medically significant are: Armillaria mellea, Auricularia auricula.-judae, Laetiporus sulphureus, Pleurotus ostreatus, Schizophyllum commune, Trametes versicolor, Ganoderma applanatum, Flammulina velutipes and Inonotus hispidus. Some of the found species, such as T. versicolor and P. ostreatus, also have the ability to degrade highly toxic phenolic compounds and can be used in ecologically and economically justifiable soil remediation. -

Karazin Kharkiv National University [email protected] , [email protected] https://doi.org/10.34142/2708-5848.2020.22.2.01 Hygrophoraceae is a family within Agaricales, which comprises 26 genera and approximately 690 agaricoid species, including ectomycorrhizal, lichen-forming, bryophilous, humus and litter decomposing fungi. Some of these species especially those from genera Cuphophyllus, Hygrocybe, Neohygrocybe and Porpolomopsis are associated with natural grasslands and show extreme sensitivity to the presence of nitrogen-containing fertilizers in their substrate. This makes them indicative species of grasslands of high conservation value. While casual observations of Hygrophoraceae of Ukraine were incorporated in studies of agaricoid fungi as a whole, this family has never been in the focus of special research. Previously accumulated data on the diversity of Hygrophoraceae in Ukraine must be aggregated and revised. We have summarized all available data on the occurrences of Hygrophoraceae in Ukraine, including published papers, open databases, citizen science observations, and the previously unpublished original collection materials. Also, we provide an original description of the rare European species Haasiella venustissima (Fr.) Kotl. & Pouzar ex Chiaffi & Surault, which is reported for the first time from the territory of Ukraine. The resulting checklist of Hygrophoraceae of Ukraine includes 66 species. Leading genera are Hygrophorus (22 species), Hygrocybe (17) and Arrhenia (10); 5 species among them (Hygrocybe punicea, Hyrgocybe splendidissima, Neohygrocybe nitrata, Neohygrocybe ovina, Porpolomopsis calyptriformis) are threatened and according to “IUCN Red List” considered “Vulnerable”.
