Kummer and its acceptance as type species of Armillaria (Fr.:Fr.) Staude. Due to recognition of different type species over the years and an extremely variable generic concept, at least 274 species and varieties have been placed in Armillaria (or in Armillariella Karst., its obligate synonym). Only about forty species belong in the genus Armillaria sensu stricto, while the rest can be placed in forty-three other modem genera. This study is based on original descriptions in the literature, as well as studies of type specimens and generic and species concepts by other authors. This publication consists of an alphabetical listing of all epithets used in Armillaria or Armillariella, with their basionyms, currently accepted names, and other obligate and facultative synonyms.

  • On the East Border of Hungary in Szabolcs-Szatmr-Bereg County Has
7th INTERNATIONAL MULTIDISCIPLINARY CONFERENCE Baia Mare, Romania, May 17-18, 2007 ISSN-1224-3264 MUSHROOMS LIVING AMONG US: MUSHROOMS–WORLD OF BÁTORLIGET István, LENTI College of Nyíregyháza, Department of Plant Production Nyíregyháza Abstract: On the East border of Hungary in Szabolcs-Szatmár-Bereg County has been found Bátorliget which has made an international name for itself in the scientific world due to its highly protected glacial swamp and pasture. At the far end of the village reaches the Fényi-forest as far as the county-frontier. These three, with all their historical pasts and improvements carry the formation and the structural changes of the Hungarian-plain. The highly protected nature-reserve consist of the glacial Bátorligeti virgin-bog the Bátorligeti or Nyomási herbage and the Fényi forest that we name altogether the Bátorligeti Nature Reserve. Keywords: Bátorliget, mushroom, Fényi-forest Introduction The academican JANOS TUZSON called the attention of the scientific world especially to the reservation in 1914. The exploring botanical and zoological researches began in 1928. The results late served as a basis of the three territory to become a nature reserve by law. BARTHA (1993) outlined the brief history of mushroom studies in the Nyírség area, listing some internationally recognized scientists like Frigyes Hazslinszky (1818-1896), László Hollós (1859-1940) and Raymund Rapaics involved in the work though in their studies they never referred to this area. The first mycology-related facts are found in the work of BOROS (1923). Academist GÁBOR UBRIZSY started a significant work on mycology studies around that time from 1937 which he extended over the whole Nyirség area (UBRIZSY 1941, 1942, 1943, 1947).

PERSOO . l A Published by the Rijksherbarium, Lcidcn Volume 3, Part 3, pp. 325-330 ( r!)(is) THE MYCOLOGICAL PUBLICATIONS OF K. B. BOEDIJN M.A. D ONK Rijksherborium, Uidm (With Plate 4) After a distinguished career as a collaborator of Prof. Hugo de Vries, the famous geneticist, Karel Bernard Boedijn (born June 29, 1893, a t Amsterdam) became a mycologist, and il is in this latter capacity that he will be primarily remembered. lie had already started to pay attention to the fungi during his Amsterdam period when C. van Overeem, M iss D. M. C. de Haas (who later married van Overeem), and Bocdijn banded together and called themselves the "Yiycologisch Museum te Wecsp". They started building up a collection which, however, never became very big. After some years van Ovcrccm accepted a position in the Her barium of the Botanic Gardens at Buitcnzorg (now Bogor) in J ava, where he died after a short but active period ( 192 1- 1927). The collections on liquid of tht· "Myco logisch Museum" arc now at the "Hugo de Vrics-Laboratorium", Amsterdam, while the dried material, taken to Java by van Overccm, will be found in thceollee tions of llerbarium Bogoricnsc. Bocdijn, too, wanted to become better acquainted with the tropics. To further this goal he accepted a position as a botanist in the "Aigemecn Procfstation A.V.R.O.. " (General l ~xpcrimental Station A.V. R.O.. ) at Mcdan (Sumatra East Coast) in 1926.
