Main Operations The Main Operations Centre (MOC) is a non–competition venue which Center functions to provide a centralised information, coordination, reporting and decision-making system allowing the OC to manage the effective conduct of the Games. It provides support to venues and Functional areas to resolve issues that cannot or should not be resolved at those locations. Therefore the MOC is the Central Command, Control and Communications Centre used to direct Games operations when necessary. NOC Services Center A facility with relevant OC Functional areas offices/desks in the Olympic Village which offers centralised services for the Chefs de Mission. The NOC Services staff is located in the facility. Department An OC unit responsible for delivering a group of specific and related /Functional area services (e.g. Accommodation, Transportation, Technology). Also referred to as “functions” or “departments” according to the OCOG. Dedicated A vehicle dedicated to designated person/people/team car/bus/transport Anthem We use anthem no hymn Flame torch Flame holder Lantern A lantern is a portable lighting device Ribbon The “lanyard” of the medal. A ribbon is a thin band of material, typically cloth, used primarily as decorative binding and tying.

Note: Never use the word Olympic Games, Olympics in connection with the EYOF. Olympic Games/Olympics is a different sport event owned by the IOC. Therefore you will have e.g. EYOF or Festival Ambassadors. You can use expression Olympic with general expressions such as Olympic values, Olympic spirit etc.
