CTT / RTTC British National 10 mile TT Ayr Roads / Fullarton Wheelers 1st & 2nd September 2018 Race Manual Ayr Roads and Fullarton Wheelers are delighted to welcome you to the RTTC British National 10 Mile TT Championships for 2018 presented by CTT. Many of you may know that this is the first time which the championships have been held north of the border, and we welcome you all to our local area. Special thanks go to William Cosh and Bill McMillan for driving the Scottish District from strength to strength. The CTT Scottish district is a fairly recent creation, and clubs were delighted to hear that the board wished to bring the National Championships here for 2018. Ayr Roads and Fullarton Wheelers met to tout the idea of submitting a joint proposal to host the race on the well-known “Eglinton 10” course. This course on the A78 is one which most riders have on their bucket list, with an appetite to test themselves on quiet roads, but never quite knowing how the Ayrshire winds will blow. Both clubs have come together to put on this festival of racing for the weekend, and we would both like to thank all members for their help and support in bringing our idea to fruition. We hope you enjoy your visit to North Ayrshire and wish you all the very best for your race. W. A. McCay Chains of Command While exploring a group of devastated class-M planets in a remote sector of space, the crew of the U.S.S. "Enterprise (TM) " is shocked to discover a group of human slaves on a forbidding, glacial world. When the slaves revolt against their human overseers, Captain Picard, and his crew sympathize with the slaves’ plight but cannot interfere in the conflict. After the revolt is a success, Captain Picard learns that both the slaves and the overseers were controlled by a mysterious bird-like race called the Tseetsk, who are coming to reclaim their property. With the time running out, the rebels kidnap Captain Picard and Counsellor Troi -- drawing the U.S.S. "Enterprise" into the middle of their deadly plan of vengeance. ( AS THE AWAY TEAM winked into existence on the planet’s surface, the luxuriant undergrowth stirred, riffled by a gentle breeze. Commander William Riker saw the leaves shiver in the gust, but he couldn’t feel it through his atmosphere suit. He glanced around. There was no sign of animal life in the pristine landscape. “No bugs,” he muttered. “Paradise for picnickers.” A laugh crackled in his ear. Riker turned and gestured impatiently at the other members of the team. “Let’s get on with the readings and samples.” He shifted uncomfortably in the suit. “Move, people, unless you want to spend your entire time planetside in these blasted things.” The young crew members burst into a flurry of activity, none of them eager to appear slow in front of their commander.

Does this one have wifi? SPIN Medical devices, medical research and healthcare systems Notes, thoughts, and anecdotes David Wyper Instruction Manual The main objective behind this book is to raise money for research into the treatment of brain conditions. You might want just to make a donation and not bother with the book, but it’s there if you want it, and there are bits that you might be interested in. Did you know that medical ultrasound scanning was first developed in Glasgow, or that the pioneering work to produce the first insulin injection pen took place at the Southern General Hospital? Would you like to understand a bit more about how scanners work and what they are used for? Are you frustrated by bureaucracy and interested in its effect on the NHS? Is there anything that can be done about this? Would you like to know a bit about current research into brain disorders? The challenges facing medical researchers are infinite, but progress is being made in many fields. The book looks into studies in stroke, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson’s Disease, brain cancer and several other conditions. How is research organised, and where does the money come from? The book touches on these issues, and there are also a few lighthearted stories to brighten it up at bit. You could read it from cover to cover or just dip into bits before you put this lights out. You might want to find out why the title is SPIN, and you must have a look at the illustrations, courtesy of students at Glasgow Kelvin College.

It argues that the biopic is a necessary category because producers, reviewers and cinemagoers have significant investments in biographical subjects, and because biopics construct a ‘public history’ for a broad audience.
