Ride past Fenwick Arms & through Descend to T where L Claughton until, after overhead [sp Bleasdale 2] 34km bridge fork L [sp Brookhouse/Littledale] 5.3km Then 2 sharp hills through Bleasdale & at T L Ride through Caton Green and [sp Chipping/ ] 38.3km Brookhouse and, after bridge by bus shelter, fork L[Copy Lane] Continue following sps. to Chipping passing Bowland Forest Gliding Club At T L [sp Quernmore 4/ en route. Cycleway] 9.2km Chipping( Cobbled Corner Café) 3km later, part way up climb at CHIPPING CONTROL Knotts Wood, vere L [sp Quernmore/ (Grid ref: SD 622 434] 41.9km Bay Horse/Lancashire Cycleway] (11:30 – 13:00)

Ride past church & school and, 3. at XR SO [sp Bay Horse] 15.6km Ride thro. village along Talbot St Continue until 5 Lane Ends where & pass Bretherton Coaches towards 2nd L [sp Abbeystead / Chipping] . Pass Gibbon Bridge & take next L At XR [sp Slaidburn/ / Trough INFORMATION CONTROL 22.5km of Bowland] 45k [Grid ref: SD 509532]

Pass the Inn at Whitewell & follow road to . 2. Here R [sp Newton/Slaidburn] Pass Puddle Ducks Café (on L) SO [sp Oakenclough 4] continue & continue through Newton in along narrow winding road, Bowland descending into over River Wyre and, at fork, Slaidburn. vere R [sp Scorton / Garstang/ Chipping] INFORMATION CONTROL 24km [Grid ref: SD711 521] 60km

There is a café in Slaidburn {Riverbank In approx. 2kms XR SO Tearooms) & also pub. (Last chance for [Keasden sp Bentham] refreshments before the big climb pass Mewith Head & follow undulating road towards Bentham & Wray 90.6km

After tearooms, cross bridge & climb At XR (Paxton’s Garage) SO (v.steep first corner!) B6478 (sp Settle) towards Wray Initial climb almost 3km & then (this part of sp missing) undulating road to . 69.2km 96.7km Here pass Forest Bikes / Dog & Partridge / church continuing At T R & immediately L into North [sp Long Preston / [sp Wray 2 ½ / Lancaster] Settle] In WRAY finish at Village In Wiggleworth leave B6478 left by the Institute. Plough Inn [sp Rathmell] 74km CONTROL 104km [Grid ref: SD 603 676] Ride through Rathmell, past War Memorial (14:12 – 17:19) & Reading Room towards the A65 & Settle.
