The magnificent city of Lincoln is embedded within our beautiful landscape and is surrounded by a network of picturesque towns and villages: these places, along with the social and economic opportunities in the area, make Central Lincolnshire a fantastic place to live, work and visit. But there is so much potential to make Central Lincolnshire an even better place. An even better place to live, with quality homes people can afford, easier access to shops, services and facilities, and new thriving communities, which are welcoming and safe. An even better place to work, where new facilities and infrastructure mean that businesses choose to expand or relocate here, bringing jobs and stimulating investment. An even better place to visit, a place where people choose to come to enjoy our nature, our history, our shops, our eateries and attractions, while at the same time significantly contributing to our rural and urban economies. A new Local Plan for Central Lincolnshire can do this. This is the adopted Local Plan for Central Lincolnshire. It was prepared with the benefit of your very helpful comments we received at various draft stages. Inside this adopted Local Plan are policies for the growth and regeneration of Central Lincolnshire over the next 20 years and beyond, including sites allocated for development and other areas designated for protection. The policies within the Local Plan will make sure that our settlements grow in the right way, ensure we have homes and employment where we need them, and ensure our new communities are sustainable, accessible and inclusive. -

Hemswell Cliff Parish Council Action Plan 2019-2020
Document History: Adopted on 8 May 2017 Last reviewed: May 2019 Hemswell Cliff Parish Council Action Plan 2019-2020 1 Overview of the Parish Hemswell Cliff is a great place to live. We have an excellent school, a lovely rural setting and a thriving business community. Hemswell Cliff is a village and civil parish in the West Lindsey district of Lincolnshire, England. It is situated on the A631 road between Caenby Corner and Gainsborough and on the Lincoln Cliff escarpment. Within the Parish is the hamlet of Spital-in- theStreet, the village centred round the former RAF base. According to the 2001 Census it had a population of 683, in 2011 the population had risen 794. RAF Hemswell was located on the site from 1937 until it closed in 1967. Hemswell Cliff Primary School is in the village. The airfield site was subsequently redeveloped into a private trading estate and the RAF married quarters into a residential area which became a newly created civil parish of Hemswell Cliff. By mid-2008 there was no longer RAF presence on the site, which became entirely civilian. The site's old H-Block buildings contain an antique centre, shops, a garden centre, hairdresser, used book shop and cafés. A large recycling plant and grain processing facility are also located on the site. The Parish also has number of farms operating within it as well as a large amount of high quality farming land. Hemswell Cliff Parish Council Action Plan Hemswell Cliff Parish Council strives to work on behalf of parishioners on the issues that matter to the village. -

The former base buildings now house one of the largest antique centres in Europe and other businesses ranging from grain storage and testing facilities to second hand book shops and a garden centre. MIDLANDS ENGINE LEP PROFILES Greater Lincolnshire LEP October 2019 GREATER LINCOLNSHIRE LEP Introduction This document profiles the Greater Lincolnshire Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP) area, providing insight and data across key areas of the economy, namely through the five foundations of productivity outlined in the government’s industrial strategy: Ideas, People, Infrastructure, Business Environment and Places. Benchmarking is provided in the context of the Midlands Engine, allowing comparison between the Black Country and other LEP areas within the pan-region. Greater Lincolnshire Greater Lincolnshire is in the east of the Midlands Engine. It is the largest Midlands Engine LEP area in terms of hectares, covering 718,201 hectares. The area stretches from the Humber in the North to the Wash National Nature Reserve in the South, the medieval City of Lincoln in the West and coastal resorts in the East. The area has a population of just over one million, making it the fifth biggest LEP in the Midlands Engine in terms of population. Greater Lincolnshire has a polycentric urban structure with a small number of large towns, approximately thirty market towns and coastal resorts, and a fairly even distribution of villages across the area. The largest urban areas are Lincoln, Grimsby, Scunthorpe, Grantham, and Boston. Greater Lincolnshire has a vision to use future technologies to leverage its nationally important assets around food, energy and global connectivity alongside its abundant natural capital to realise its potential, raise the earning power of residents and shape an innovative and thriving business environment. The LEP has identified six priority sectors: Manufacturing, Agri-food, Visitor economy, Low Carbon, Health & Care, and Ports and Logistics.
