Amb aquest complet informe volem fer-vos arribar, amb exactitud i transparència, els avenços i els resultats de la nostra gestió. Podreu llegir-lo en detall en les properes pàgines, però voldria desta- car tres aspectes que resulten claus per al Consell d’Administració que tinc l’honor de presidir: Major solidesa econòmica. Junts, estem revertint la molt complicada situació econòmica que vivia el nostre club. Amb el suport dels socis i accionistes, dels patrocinadors i col·laboradors, estem dotant l’organització de més solidesa financera. Tanquem l’exercici amb una important contenció del deute i aconseguint beneficis. De las que muchos dirigentes y empleados del club así como aficionados viven una sola vez en su vida, y donde las decisiones que se toman en su concepción y ejecución perduran durante décadas, siendo muchas de estas decisiones no reversibles o muy costosamente reversibles. Valgan como simples ejemplos la reciente ampliación de la cubierta de San Mamés Barria, los problemas de tráfico en el RCDE Stadium desde su inauguración o la investigación (ya archivada) de la Comisión Europea respecto al posible bajo alquiler del campo entre el PSV Eindhoven y el ayuntamiento de la ciudad. Estos ejemplos, junto a muchos otros, demuestran que: • El proceso de construcción de un campo de fútbol no es una cuestión meramente arquitectónica. Sus implicaciones van mucho más allá: desde las condiciones que se firman entre el club y el propietario de la instalación, a las soluciones de movilidad por el teórico aumento de la asistencia, pasando por la identidad que se le da al propio campo o la experiencia que viven los aficionados en él.
