Latest Version of DbMAP Asj and DbMAP Web 3D

Version 2.5 of DbMAP Asj, a solution to project and publish web-GIS portals starting from bidimensional data, has been released by Abaco S.r.l. (Italy). User applications may be created employing DbMAP Developer Kit, which includes royalty-free components as applets, OCX and Java.

Another new release of Abaco's is DbMAP Web 3D a tool working in synergy with DbMAP Asj for data management, publication and consulting in 3D directly on the web.

The suite composed by the two softwares is specifically created for developing 2D and 3D Geographic Information Systems and allows users to ‘fly’ over a tridimensional model of the territory published on the web.

DbMAP suite is in conformity with OGC (Open Geospatial Consortium) and compatible with all the most common platforms like Windows, MacOS, and the operating systems for handheld and pocket PC; the web components of DbMAP Asj are usable with any internet browser without installation or additional plug-in; DbMAP Web 3D Flyer requires Macromedia Shockwave Player; and the server components (requiring Java 1.4 or later) are compatible with the most common Web Servers and J2EE Containers like Oracle AS, Tomcat, IBM Websphere.

DbMAP Suite is recommended to those Public Administration technicians, Database Administrators and developers whose main necessities are distributing geographic data in Web-GIS portals and integrating their own applications with advanced GIS features independent from any platform.
