A Young Angel It's hard to see an angel die, All we're left here to do is cry. We're left here with so much sorrow, She should have been promised another tomorrow. Why did she have to show up at heaven's gate? Why take her now, couldn't God wait? Life feels so empty without her here, We wish we could see her, we wish she were near. We should have told her what she meant to us. She was always there, like a good friend should be. She can never be replaced, we hope she'll know, But she was so young, why did she have to go? She left her family and many great friends, Guess this is what happens when heaven sends. She belonged to God, we knew from the start, Even she knew one day she would part. But who could have known she would leave so fast? But she is gone now, she has passed. The laughs were shared, are here with us forever, We won't forget you, we can promise you...never!!! -Unknown 4 ALF Get an ABBY-TUDE

This year's book is dedicated to Abby t Fargher. She would have beeen a 2005 graduate of Wethersfield High School. Abby had a great impact on Wethersfield. She was known for her positive attitude and friendship. "Get an ABBY-TUDE", became the school motto for the year. Children K-12 all knew of Abby and how special she was. Unfortunately we lost Abby to cancer on September 11,2003. Our love and support go out to Abbys family. Abby was involved in , , Track, Student Council, Class Of- ficer. Football Stat Girl, Key Club, AFS, Homecoming Attendant Freshman Year, TA, Track Volunteer, and in the High School plays. The pictures on this page show a glimse of Abby *s spirit and enthusiasm. The 2003 version of the F/S Football Flying Geese had another successful year with a record of 6-3, which was good enough for a fourth place tie overall in the LTC. The Young Geese ended the season 2-3 in the extremely tough LTC East Divi- sion. Youth and lack of numbers was a concern all year. The team was comprised of 6 sophomores and 10 freshman. Winter Sports 19 JV Basketball Season in Review. The 2003-04 version of the F/S Boys Basket- ball team overcame many obstacles this year. The finished product was comprised of five freshman and three sophomores. With such a young team, there were many growing pains along the way. The season as a whole was a success, with a 13-9 overall record and a 7-4 conference record, which was good for fifth. In tournament action this year, the Young Geese went 2-2 in the season opening Wethersfield Thanksgiving Tournament, which was good for third. For the second consecutive year, the season ending of Fresh/Soph Invitational for the Geese proved to be a tough draw, falling to second seed Brimfield. The players that finished out the season showed what it takes to be successful. This year started out with the squad attending camp at Northern University. Highlights of camp included winning the most improved squad overall, driving to Geneva, lights going out at McDonald's, and frosties at Wendy's! Football season started with watermelon and popsicles for the players after two days. The team gave us a great season to cheer about and who could forget the soggy game where 70 little girls played Little Sally Walker while waiting for the game delay to end. Time to kick it into gear for basketball. Traveling on the pickle to games is always a thing to remember. Good times and bad, we remain a squad forever. Best of luck to all of our seniors and we look forward to another year of cheering for the Flying Geese!

They attended a UDA camp at University of Illinois in the middle of July, winning spirit sticks each day for the good sportsmanship and group unity. Anna O'Neill and Vikki Pratt were awarded as All Star Dancers, and Heather Looney was Drill Down Runner Up. Half of the pom squad attended a second camp, SCA, held at Cambridge High School where they learned two routines. Alyssa Rider and Vikki Pratt were announced SCA All Stars. Anna O'Neill, Alyssa Rider , Heather Looney, and Danielle Jones all participated in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade. Kaylee Klimkewicz, Vikki Pratt and Andrea Ceja participated in the Chicago parade over Thanksgiv- ing. The poms had a Little Miss Pom clinic during the basketball season as a fundraiser. With the seven seniors and six under classmen there will be many spots to fill within the next few years. All the squad had a lot of fun with their new coach Teryan Newman and many fun and exciting memories.

Season in Review: This year has been an exciting year. There have been many ups and downs, but in the end, the boys did a great job representing the school, town, and com- munity as a team and as individuals. Some of this year's highlights are fourth place at Fresh-Soph Conference, second at the Fresh-Soph Invitational, second place at the Elmwood Relays, and second place at Varsity Conference. The only records broken this year were by James Bradbury. James broke the fresh-soph 100 meter dash record five times, and he broke the fresh-soph 200 meter dash record three times. The only member of the team to compete at state was Shane Costenson in the triple jump. -Coach Jason Anderson

42 Band Chorus While only a few people were able to take chorus this year, we still had a great time singing together. Our first performance of the school year was the Lincoln Trail Conference Choral Festival hosted by Alwood on November 3, 2003. After the festival we began rehearsals for the Christmas Concert performed on December 16, 2003. The new year began with preparations for Solo and Ensemble Contest in March and ended with our Disney-Themed Spring Concert on May 11, 2004. Good luck to this year's seniors Vikki Pratt and Ina Puckett. -Mrs.Geesaman

Walsworth also changed yearbook representatives mid-year. A usable computer program was not established immediately. Students were moved over to the Blish computer lab to finishing producing the book. In spite of all the challenges, the staff did a wonderful job of producing the book. Students were also assisted by editor Kaylee Klimkewicz and assistant editor Danielle Jones. Twelve pages of ads were sold to help cover the rising costs of producing a yearbook. The staff decided to dedicate this years book to Abby Fargher, a student who passed away from cancer this year. Two pages in the book focus on Abby and her impact on Wethersfield High School.

Suzanne Smiley, played by Allysa Rider, inter- views all of the survivors who are voted off while trying to leave her own "sunny" mark on the TV audience. Throughout the challenges, (WATCH OUT FOR FLYING WORMS!!) two contestants emerge to battle for the prize. Bo, played by Shawn Puckett, and Zammi, played by Ann Lamb are the final survivors. Zammi emerges victorious after a vote by the cast ends in a tie and the mysterious mango lady, played by Angela Heberer, casts the tiebreaker. A great time was had by all! The cast performed for a large crowd on Friday night, and served dinner be- fore performing on Saturday to*a sold out crowd. All Students freshmen through seniors are welcome to come join the fun! -Cathy Dana, Play Director

Ads 93 The 2004- 2005 Wethersfield Yearbook Staff has spent this past year getting an "ABBY-tude." Though out this year it has brought many new and exciting changes to the school. We hope that this book will remind you of many memories of Wethersfield High School. We would also like to give a special thank you to everyone who put time and dedication in for this yearbook.

COLOPHON One hundred and fifty copies of the 94 page Quill Yearbook were printed by Walsworth Pub- lishing company. The cover was created using a duo tone coloring process. Photographs were taken by Happy Together Studios and various staff members. Books sold for $28. Additional funds were raised through business ads, parent ads, and sale of old yearbooks. This was the first year that the yearbook was produced during a Desktop Publishing class. Kaylee Klimkewicz was the 2004 editor. Danielle Jones was the assistant editor. Ms. Melissa Johnson and Mrs. Liz Blackwell were the yearbook sponsors. 94 Closing W Walsworth Publishing Company 306 North Kansas Avenue / Marceline, Missouri 64658 USA
