MAJOR DISTRICT HIGHWAY PROJECTS BY COUNTY ADAMS • Illinois 57: $6.4 million for resurfacing 7.2 miles, bridge repairs, ADA improvements, new bridge decks and other improvements in Quincy. CASS • Beardstown bridge: $65.9 million for new U.S. 67/Illinois 100 bridge over the . The new structure will replace one that has been subject to weight restrictions in the past due to its condition. LOGAN • I-55/I-55 Business: $20.7 million for resurfacing 10.7 miles and bridge repairs from I-55 Business to Illinois 10. • I-155: $8.9 million for resurfacing 4.6 miles, bridge repairs, bridge deck overlay and other improvements from U.S. 136 to Tazewell County line. MONTGOMERY • I-55: $49.8 million for resurfacing 21.2 miles, new bridge deck, bridge repairs and other improvements from Illinois 16 to County Highway 17. PIKE • Florence Bridge: $84.2 million for new Illinois 100/106 bridge over the Illinois River, replacing structurally deficient, functionally obsolete structure built in 1929. • : $12.3 million for resurfacing and shoulder repair from east of U.S. 54/Illinois 107 interchange to 0.6 mile east of 290th Avenue overhead. SANGAMON • I-55: $137.4 million for additional lanes and reconstruction along 7.8 miles, a bridge replacement, bridge widening and other improvements from Illinois 54/Sangamon Avenue to Illinois 123. • Illinois 97/125 in Springfield: $67.5 million for additional lanes, reconstruction, bridge replacements, intersection modernization and pedestrian overpass from Illinois 97/125 junction to Illinois 4. • I-55 Business/Sixth Street from I-72 to Stanford Avenue in Springfield:$47.7 million for reconstruction, widening and intersection improvements along key economic corridor. • I-55: $40.4 million for resurfacing 19.3 miles, bridge deck overlay and bridge repairs from south of the Sangamon/Montgomery County line to Lake Springfield bridge. • MacArthur Boulevard from Wabash/Stanford Avenue to South Grand Avenue: $30.5 million for reconstruction and modernized traffic signals along 1.5 miles. • Illinois 29/Sangamon Avenue in Springfield: $21.3 million for intersection reconstruction and new turn lanes at Dirksen Parkway. • I-72: $7.5 million for a new bridge deck and bridge repairs over Wabash Avenue and Norfolk Southern Railroad.
