Statements of the Department Related Parliamentary Standing Committee on Social Justice and Empowerment Shri Praveen Rashtrapal laid on the Table, a copy each (in English and Hindi) of the following Statements of the Department-related Parliamentary Standing Committee on Social Justice and Empowerment (2010-11):- (i) Action taken by the Government on the recommendations contained in Chapter-I and final replies in respect of recommendations contained in Chapter-V of the Twelfth Report of the Committee (Fifteenth Lok Sabha) on Action Taken by Government on the recommendations contained in the Sixth Report (Fifteenth Lok Sabha) of the Committee on ‘Demands for Grants (2010-11)’ of the Ministry of Minority Affairs; and (ii) Action taken by the Government on the recommendations contained in Chapter-I and final replies in respect of recommendations contained in Chapter-V of the Fourteenth Report of the Committee (Fifteenth Lok Sabha) on Action Taken by Government on the recommendations contained in the Fifth Report of the Committee (Fifteenth Lok Sabha) on ‘Demands for Grants (2010-11)’ of the Ministry of Tribal Affairs.

Special Mentions (1) Shri Shreegopal Vyas raised a matter regarding need to increase the amount of financial assistance to be given to the widows under BPL in the country. 11-10 a.m. (2) Shrimati Bimla Kashyap Sood raised a matter regarding need to increase the budget for laying of Nangal-Talwada Railway line in Himachal Pradesh. 11-12 a.m. (3) Shri raised a matter regarding need to exempt the minority educational institution from national eligibility tests for entrance in MBBS and PG Courses. 11-15 a.m. (4) Shri Govindrao Adik raised a matter regarding need to take immediate steps to expedite the development of infrastructure in border areas of the country. 11-17 a.m. (5) Shri Ali Anwar Ansari raised a matter regarding need to take steps to ensure implementation of reservation for OBCs in the University of Delhi.
