In the afternoon session, students took part in the 100m and relays. The final event of the day was the staff relays racing the winning groups, it was safe to say the students won those races! The final presentations saw all winning students receive certificates from Dr Hobbs and the overall winning team, the Red Team,

for the second year running, received the trophy and Geography Field Trip strawberries and cream. The day was a fantastic success; well done to everyone. On September 18th, Year 11 Geography students visited Nottingham as part of their urban geography fieldwork. Students were interested in how quality of life varied across the city.

In school, online research of the National Census Data meant that students created a hypothesis that quality of life improved with distance away from the city centre. However, students were able to find out if this was the case by collecting primary data. Although a little nervous at first, the students enjoyed engaging with the public to help them bring their hypotheses to life. Mr Ruddy was very impressed by students' confidence and professionalism when conducting the surveys!
