This gavel is made of wood obtained from this tree by Mr. Callahan, a Past Grand Vaster of Masons in Virginia. He laid the cornerstone of the:rational Masonic Memorial in Alexandria, where he lived.

,2a candlestick: .2b candlestick: striped wood from timber that grew on bank of Potomac River; hand-hewed and framed into White House roof after British burned it in 1814. After 112 years of service over 26 Presidents, it was removed, in 1927, during the administration of President Calvin Coolidge.

The pulley was located on the second floor over the kitchen. A 60' rope made it possible to bring a bucket up from the cellar to the end of the kitchen sink. The water was so far below the sink that a suction pump would not raise it.

Capt. Isaac Chamberlain died 12-18-1827 at 72 years.
