He has studied B.A. History in Bishop Heber College, Tiruchirappalli and completed M.A. in History in the Department of History, Bharathidasan University, Tiruchirappalli. He did his Ph.D. on “Indo-U.S. Relations: Strategic Importance and Security Issues” from Bharathidasan University, Tiruchirappalli under the guidance of Professor N. Rajendran, who is at present the Vice-Chancellor of Alagappa University, Karaikudi. Dr. N. Sethuraman is a research supervisor in History and at present, guiding four research scholars. He has authored two books and edited one book and published many numbers of research articles in journals, edited books, and conference proceedings.
