The Lions first play Lewis, who is undefeated in GLVC action, on Thursday, before 2/8 at Quincy* 1:00pm taking on UIS Saturday. The Prairie Stars enter the weekend 6-10 overall and 1-7 in conference games. 2/13 at University of Southern Indiana* 4:30pm - In their last game, the Lions won an overtime thriller against UMSL at Hyland Arena. The Lions were down three late in the game, but a buzzer- 2/15 at McKendree* 1:00pm beating three from Devin Fuhring send the game to OT. In overtime, the Lions went 14-18 from the free throw line, including a 7-8 performance 2/20 Rockhurst* 5:30pm from Devin Fuhring. The Lions won the game 92-86. Both games against UMSL this season have gone to overtime. 2/22 William Jewell* 1:00pm - The Lindenwood senior duo of Kallie Bildner and Lindsey Medlen are rewriting the Lion record books. Bildner has already broken the career 2/27 Illinois Springfield* 5:30pm rebounding record and has joined the 1,000 point club at Lindenwood. She also is approaching the Lindenwood career scoring record as well as the 1,000 rebound plateau. Medlen has 954 career points and is on-pace to join Bildner in the 1,000 point club. Additionally, Medlen has 357 career 2/29 Lewis* 1:00pm assists, approaching the Lindenwood NCAA record 380 career assists set by Jenny Rocha from 2012-16. 3/5-8 GLVC Tournament TBD *- Indicates GLVC Contest - Bildner is second in the conference in scoring at 21.3 points per game and tops in rebounding at 10.9 rebounds per game. She is the only player in the GLVC to rank in the top five in both categories. BOLD- Indicates Home Contest All Times Central - Devin Fuhring is shooting 29-76 from three this season (.382). She is on pace to make 56 three-pointers this season, which would be the third- best single-season total in Lindenwood history. Kassidy Gengenbacher made 58 threes in 14-15 and 69 threes in 15-16. - Lindsay Medlen is excelling in her senior campaign. The point guard leads the GLVC in assists per game (5.1, 22nd nationally) and is second in assist-to-turnover ratio (2.28. 19th nationally). - The Lions are led by second-year head coach Katie Falco. She joined Lindenwood after spending the previous 10 seasons as an assistant coach at NCAA DI South Dakota State. In her first season at the helm, she led the Lions to a 21-8 overall record, setting the Lindenwood NCAA single-season win record and earning the program’s first-ever at-large bid to the NCAA Tournament. The Post-Corbett Award recognizes outstanding contribu­ tions to the Cincinnati art community by organizations, businesses, vo lunteer groups, individuals, and artist in literature, visual art, and performing disciplines. The Year-End-Series (YES) new play festival was honored in the arts organization category for " presenting premieres of new plays and encouraging young playwrights by offering a production forum for their works," reported the office of university publications. The YES Festival, created in 1983, was the brainchild of Jack Wann, NKU theater director, and Jim Stacey, a former colleague. Wann said that he and Stacey came up with the "idea" six years ago to give "struggling playwrights the op­ portunity they needed to get plays produced." Wann commented that NKU has become a "springboard" for young playwrights. "We learn from them as well as they do from us," said Wann. NKU receives about 300 entries a year for the festival. The YES Festival is produced every other year during spring semester.
