This double residence was buirt prior to IB73 and operated as a boarding house. The buildi-ng has a front facade of four evenly spaced windows with sma1l panes, two dormers above and a pitched roof with the side to the street. The house's detail regularity, and symmetrical proportions are expressive of the Georgian archi- tectural tradition which influenced the vernacular buildings of Ottawa throughout a large portion of ttre Nineteentir Century.     ENVIRONMENTAL ASSESSMENT ACT SECTION 7.1 NOTICE OF COMPLETION OF MINISTRY REVIEW AN INVITATION TO COMMENT ON THE ENVIRONMENTAL ASSESSMENT FOR THE PROPOSED CITY OF OTTAWA NORTH-SOUTH CORRIDOR LRT PROJECT An environmental assessment (EA) was submitted to the Ministry of the Environment by the City of Ottawa to construct and implement a 31 km twin-track, electrically powered Light Rail Transit (LRT) service between downtown Ottawa near the Rideau Centre to the southern terminus in the future Barrhaven Town Centre. The proposed undertaking also includes: - access to 34 stops/stations; - four new Park and Ride lots; - a rail yard for storage and maintenance; - seventeen electric substations to power the trains; and - provision for integration of bus transit services. The Ministry of the Environment has prepared a Review of the EA for review and comment by the public, agencies and aboriginal peoples. The Review does not determine whether the project should be approved. This decision is made by the Minister of the Environment following the five week comment period and the consideration of all submissions. You can now submit comments on the undertaking, the environmental assessment, and the ministry Review. You may also request that the Minister refer the application to the Environmental Review Tribunal for a hearing. If you request a hearing you must state in your submission whether you are requesting a hearing on the whole application or on only specified matters related to the proposed undertaking.
