FURTHER NOTICE

THE COUNCIL OF THE BOROUGH OF (ALL ROADS WITHIN MILTON KEYNES – HIGHWAY MAINTENANCE) (TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2020 FURTHER NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN in relation to a temporary prohibition of vehicles from entering, waiting or proceeding along parts of roads within Milton Keynes whilst essential maintenance and repair works are carried out to the carriageway. The restrictions were brought into effect under the provisions of the above-named Order, which was made by the Council of the on 10th March 2020 under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as first notified on 5th March 2020. TAKE NOTICE that it is necessary to close the following lengths of road in order for the Council to carry out essential works to repair defects in the carriageway and gully inspections and maintenance. The closures will only be in place during the hours of 09:30am and 4:30pm, unless stated below. The following lengths of road will be closed on Monday 3rd August 2020: • Witan Gate, – Between Portway (H5) and Silbury Boulevard. The following lengths of road will be closed on Tuesday 4th August 2020: • Witan Gate, Central Milton Keynes – Between Portway (H5) and Silbury Boulevard. The following lengths of road will be closed on Wednesday 5th August 2020: • Stratford Road, Mill – Between Queen Eleanor Street and Great Monk Street (V5). • Harrier Drive, Eaglestone – Its entire length. • Belvedere Roundabout, Conniburrow – Its entire circumference. The following lengths of road will be closed on Thursday 6th August 2020: • Saxon Street (V7), Oakridge Park – Between Wolverton Road and Marlborough Street (V8). • Western Drive, – Its entire length. The following lengths of road will be closed on Friday 7th August 2020: • Ashwood, Bradville – Its entire length. (between 09:30am to 12:30pm only). • Purcel Drive, – Its entire length (between 12:30pm to 16:30pm only). The above roads are scheduled to be closed during the periods stated above and only when works are to be carried out and only when indicated by the appropriate traffic signs, which will be erected in advance of any closure. Alternative routes will be provided for each closure and will be clearly signed in accordance with Chapter 8 of the Signs Manual. Access to affected properties will be granted where possible. All other provisions of the Order remain as previously notified on 5th March 2020.
