The closest Auburn has ever come to defeating Georgia was on Feb. 24, 2006, as the Tigers were defeated 196.550-196.150. 2010 Schedule • Last season, Auburn faced the Gym Dogs twice, with Georgia taking both meets. Like Auburn, the April 10 NCAA Regionals All Day Gym Dogs have struggled on floor this season, as they are ranked 22nd with an average (at TBD) score of 48.492. Auburn’s seniors didn’t disappoint, as Krissy Voss led off the night with a career-high on the apparatus with a 9.825. Classmate Carmen Nelms followed up Voss’ performance, tying her own career best with another 9.825. Up Next for the Tigers... Sophomore Allyson Sandusky, who entered the meet as the No. 10 bars competitor in the Opponent: Arkansas country, turned a solid 9.8, as Auburn tallied a 48.325 in the first rotation. Location: Fayetteville, Ark. Date: Friday, Feb. 5, 7 p.m. • In rotation two, Auburn was on vault, while LSU took to the bars. Auburn hit all-six Venue: Barnhill Arena routines, as Voss continued her solid night, hitting a season-high 9.8 in the second posi- tion, while a pair of freshman, Maya Wickus and Toi Garcia, each hit 9.825’s. Sophomore Justine Foster turned in a 9.85 as the anchor, giving Auburn a season-high 49.075 on the second rotation. Auburn2010 Gymnastics GymInfo Rankings • LSU had a trio of competitors scored at least a 9.85, as Summer Hubbard and Jackson hit 9.875’s. Sabrina Franceschelli scored a 9.85. Auburn benefitted from a pair of LSU falls Jan. 24 on bars that gave LSU a 48.750 on the event. After two rotations, LSU held a slim .325 lead over Auburn. 1. Alabama 2. Jan. 25: 15th • Two of the teams Auburn has faced this season now rank in No. 1 and No. 2 in the nation, as Alabama leads the team rankings with a score of 196.458, and is followed by Event-by-Event Rankings Oklahoma with a 196.400, Utah (195.992), and Florida (195.967). Stanford closes out the top-five with a 195.833. Week: Event Rank Score 1 Beam 5th 48.925 Auburn Edged By No. 2 Oklahoma Bars 7th 48.925 • The No. 9 Auburn gymnastics team was edged by No. 2 Oklahoma 196.300-195.325 Vault 14th 48.775 Jan. 15 at Beard-Eaves-Memorial Coliseum. An enthusiastic crowd of 5,750 fans were on Floor 18th 48.575 hand to support Auburn’s annual “Flip for the Cure” meet to combat breast cancer, as both Auburn and Oklahoma sported pink leotards during the meet. 2 Beam 9th 48.726 Bars 8th 48.937 • The Tigers opened the night on vault, where a trio of Tigers turned in solid scores. Vault 18th 48.875 Freshman Toi Garcia paced Auburn with first event title of her young career, scoring a Floor 19th 48.678 9.875. Sophomore Justine Foster chipped in a 9.850, and classmate Allyson Sandusky hit a 9.825 to give Auburn an event score of 48.975. 3 Beam 8th 48.925 Bars 18th 48.950 • Auburn then moved to bars, where Sandusky continued her solid night, tying a career- Vault 15th 48.942 high of 9.9 that she established last year at the SEC Championships. Also shining on bars Floor 30th 48.375 was freshman Petrina Yokay with a 9.825. In total, Auburn scored a 48.950 in the bar discipline heading into the third rotation.
