World Breeds

The Open Gala Show is a wonderful opportunity to meet competition from across the country.

This year we have introduced a section for World Breeds in a dedicated ring. There are classes for individual breeds both ridden and in hand, and a championship, and for UK and Ireland breeds.. Classes will be run using FBS (UK) English rules.

World breeds are important to us so, in addition to the regular English seat, we encourage (with relevant disclaimers re headgear) traditional and styles and dress.

We have attracted interest and sponsorship from individuals and breed societies across many breeds and hope that this will become a not-to-be-missed date in your annual showing calendar.

Each year we shall endeavour to add more classes - so let us know what you would like to see in the future, if you can’t find it this time!

Points Trophies for the Akhal Teke breed

The Fawkes Trophy for the most points gained throughout the day by an Akhal Teke horse in Ridden classes;
