Smart Home Systems Simplify Space Complexities, Leading the Art of Future Living “Simplicity is not only a design approach, but it also represents an attitude to life. Smart home systems simplify space complexities while exploring a customized spatial design through flexibility and uniqueness. It ingeniously enhances our everyday living.” says Steve Leung, Founder of Steve Leung Design Group. Breaking conventions of typical showroom design, the Smart Home Experience Center applies contrasting styles and colour palettes to each functional space to materialize an avant-garde smart home that creates a strong sense of affinity among visitors, dissociating from the cold stereotypes traditionally associated to smart home design. Each area narrates a different story with progressed layers, inviting visitors to embark in a unique journey of discovery and personalized experiences. The façade and the reception area adopt a modern minimalist style that creates a neat ambience defined by large-area materials and clean structural lines. The reception area deliberately employs white marble walls and dark olive marble flooring paired with exquisite furniture to echo the natural elements used in the façade design, leading visitors to a space that exudes a sense of nature and art. The living room, dining room and bedroom subtly employ an elegant British style with a contemporary touch, to curate a space filling with understated luxury and refinement. The living room adopts the neat yet geometric lines, extending the spatial vision and the openness generously. Through users’ own tablets, laptops and smartphones, these smart systems allow for an efficient personalization of lights, temperature, curtains, door and audio equipment etc; The black and white contrasting tones used in the dining room injecting an appealing sense into the space. The stunning chandelier can also adjust to different light and colours according to different occasions; curtains in the bedroom can adjust with time and daylight, allowing users to feel the natural lights and shadows in a cosy environment. The bedroom also features a walk-in closet which serves as a secret room, offering privacy and a well-thought safety cache for users. Taking the law of sound waves into consideration, both the theatre and party room integrate high-tech equipment and systems to offer the best audio-visual enjoyment for users. In the theatre, layers of lights and shadows featured in the dark-toned space create a futuristic ambience that offering an immersive entertainment experience that emulates a professional theatre setting. Three layers of wooden boards and sound-absorbing cotton are utilized to enhance the audio settings for an out-of-the-world experience. In the party room, the ceiling and furniture employ a lot of curve lines. Integrating with futuristic lights and shadow, the bar incorporates thick wooden boards with built-in audio elements that maximize the sound wave transmissions for an inimitable experience. The tea room features generous wooden walls, furniture and decorations, exuding a sense of harmony, immediately transferring visitors to a relaxing getaway from the hustle and bustle of their daily life. In this Experience Center, Tino Kwan, the internationally acclaimed lighting designer, ingeniously blends smart home systems and lighting into different functional areas to endow the settings with vivid shades and energy, curating warm and pleasant interiors.
