Evil Signs of Kaliyuga. (Present Age) Aajker poristhiti Sashonkorta, Sanskritivitin, sashon kortar sobhyotar obhav , Oshobyo Raja – Sikha- Dikha viheen, Otyochar, Sompoty lutbe, stree horon kora. Signs of Kaliyuga:- Sri Canakya Niti Sloka 11.4 After ten thousand years of Kali- Yuga Lord Hari abandons the earth. After five thousand years, the Ganga abandons the earth, and after twenty –five hundred years the predominating deities of the villages abandon the earth. Symptoms of (Present evil age Kaliyuga) as per Srimad Bhagwatam Canto 12 SB 12.1.6-8 Purport: Here is a description of how authentic political authority degenerated and disintegrated throughout the world. There is a Supreme Godhead, and there are saintly, powerful men who have taken the role of government leaders and represented that Godhead on earth. With the advent of the Age of Kali, however, this transcendental system of government collapsed, and unauthorized, uncivilized men gradually took the reins of power. SB 12.1.20 Purport: Here is a further description of how uncultured men infiltrated government administration. The so-called king named Balī is described as asattama, a most impious, uncultured man. SB 12.1.38 tulya-kālā ime rājan mleccha-prāyāś ca bhū-bhṛtaḥ ete ’dharmānṛta-parāḥ phalgu-dās tīvra-manyavaḥ There will be many such uncivilized kings ruling at the same time, O King Parīkṣit, and they will all be uncharitable, possessed of fierce tempers, and great devotees of irreligion and falsity. 2 SB 12.1.39-40 Translation: These barbarians in the guise of kings will devour the citizenry, murdering innocent women, children, cows and brāhmaṇas and coveting the wives and property of other men. They will be erratic in their moods, have little strength of character and be very short-lived. Indeed, not purified by any Vedic rituals and lacking in the practice of regulative principles, they will be completely covered by the modes of passion and ignorance. SB 12.1.41 Translation: The citizens governed by these low-class kings will imitate the character, behavior and speech of their rulers. Harassed by their leaders and by each other, they will all suffer ruination. SB 12.2 The Symptoms of Kali-Yuga. As the Age of Kali progresses, all good qualities of men diminish and all impure qualities increase. Atheistic systems of so-called religion become predominant, replacing the codes of Vedic law. The kings become just like highway bandits, the people in general become dedicated to low occupations, and all the social classes become just like śūdras. All cows become like goats, all spiritual hermitages become like materialistic homes, and family ties extend no further than the immediate relationship of marriage. SB 12.2.1 Translation: Śukadeva Gosvāmī said: Then, O King, religion, truthfulness, cleanliness, tolerance, mercy, duration of life, physical strength and memory will all diminish day by day because of the powerful influence of the Age of Kali. SB 12.2.2 Translation: In Kali-yuga, wealth alone will be considered the sign of a man’s good birth, proper behavior and fine qualities. And law and justice will be applied only on the basis of one’s power. Purport: In the Age of Kali, a man is considered high class, middle class or low class merely according to his financial status, regardless of his knowledge, culture and behavior. In this age there are many great industrial and commercial cities with luxurious neighborhoods reserved for the wealthy. All civilized people took it for granted that God is everywhere and that His laws are binding upon all creatures. The Sanskrit word dharma, therefore, indicates one’s social, or public, obligation as well as one’s religious duty. Thus responsibly caring for one’s family is dharma, and engaging in the loving service of God is also dharma. This verse indicates, however, that in the Age of Kali the principle of “might makes right” will hold sway. SB 12.2.3 Translation: Men and women will live together merely because of superficial attraction, and success in business will depend on deceit. Womanliness and manliness will be judged according to one’s expertise in sex, and a man will be known as a brāhmaṇa just by his wearing a thread. 3 SB 12.2.4 Translation: A person’s propriety will be seriously questioned if he does not earn a good living. And one who is very clever at juggling words will be considered a learned scholar. SB 12.2.5 Translation: A person will be judged unholy if he does not have money, and hypocrisy will be accepted as virtue. Marriage will be arranged simply by verbal agreement, and a person will think he is fit to appear in public if he has merely taken a bath. SB 12.2.7 Translation: As the earth thus becomes crowded with a corrupt population, whoever among any of the social classes shows himself to be the strongest will gain political power. SB 12.2.10 Translation: The citizens will suffer greatly from cold, wind, heat, rain and snow. They will be further tormented by quarrels, hunger, thirst, disease and severe anxiety. SB 12.1.39-40: These barbarians in the guise of kings will devour the citizenry, murdering innocent women, children, cows and brahmanas and coveting the wives and property of other men. They will be erratic in their moods, have little strength of character and be very short-lived. Indeed, not purified by any Vedic rituals and lacking in the practice of regulative principles, they will be completely covered by the modes of passion and ignorance. SB 12.2.11: The maximum duration of life for human beings in Kali-yuga will become fifty years. SB 12.3.31: Because of the bad qualities of the age of Kali, human beings will become shortsighted, unfortunate, gluttonous, lustful and poverty-stricken. The women, becoming unchaste, will freely wander from one man to the next. SB 12.3.32: Cities will be dominated by thieves, the Vedas will be contaminated by speculative interpretations of atheists, political leaders will virtually consume the citizens, and the so-called priests and intellectuals will be devotees of their bellies and genitals. SB 12.3.34: Women will become much smaller in size, and they will eat too much, have more children than they can properly take care of, and lose all shyness. They will always speak harshly and will exhibit qualities of thievery, deceit and unrestrained audacity. SB 12.3.35: Businessmen will engage in petty commerce and earn their money by cheating.

VISHNU The second deity of the Hindu trinity, Vishnu is the Preserver (of life). He is believed to sustain life through his adherence to principle, order, righteousness and truth. He also encourages his devotees to show kindness and compassion to all creatures. Vishnu is typically depicted with four arms to represent his omnipotence and omnipresence. It is also common to see Vishnu seated upon a coiled snake, symbolizing the ability to remain at peace in the face of fear or worry. 3. SHIVA The final deity of the Hindu trinity is Shiva, also known as the Destroyer. He is said to protect his followers from greed, lust and anger, as well as the illusion and ignorance that stand in the way of divine enlightenment. However, he is also considered to be responsible for death, destroying in order to bring rebirth and new life. Shiva is often depicted with a serpent around his neck, which represents Kundalini, or life energy. 4. • Importance of Epoch of Kali Yuga
1 of 5 c The Importance of Epoch of Kaliyuga In the ancient texts of our Nation, time is measured both in Micro and Macroscopic units. Puranic Texts like Vishnu Puranam (1:3:8 to 10) and Sreemad Bhagavatam (3:11:33) describe Macro Time. Varivasya Rahasyam (vv.12cd, 13 & 16 cd) describes Micro Time. In the same way, Astronomical texts like Surya Siddhanta 1:11 to 27, Maha Aryabhatta Siddhanta 1:15 to 20, Brahma Sphuta Siddhanta 1:4 to 14, Vatesvara Siddhanta 1:7 to 10 and Siddhanta Siromani 1: 5 to 27 mention the Time Division in Micro as well as Macroscopic units. These Puranic and Astronomical texts describe that the life time of Brahma is 432,00,00,000 x 2 x 360 x 100 years, i.e. 3,11,04,000,00,00,000 human years. The smallest unit of time mentioned in these ancient texts is Truti i.e. 1/1,12,500 second. Life time of Brahma has 2 x 360 x 100 Kalpa. One Kalpa has 432 Crore human years and of 14 Manvantra of 30,84,48,000 human years, including Sandhi period. One Manvantra has 71 Mahayuga and their Sandhi period. Sandhi Period is equal to 17,28,000 human years (Years of Kruta or Satya yuga). One Mahayuga is of 43,20,000 human years, i.e.17,28,000 years of Kruta + 12,96,000 years of Treta + 8,64,000 years of Dvapara + 4,32,000 human years of Kali yuga. Here, 360 human years are equal to one Divya year which is again equal to 12 Pitru years.

  • Kali Stotram Herself
“The mind can disentangle itself from worldliness if, through Her grace, She makes it turn toward Kali Stotram Herself. Only then does it become devoted to the lotus feet of the Divine Mother.” Hymns to Goddess Kali ~ Sri Ramakrishna Paramahamsa In India there has been an unbroken tradition of worshiping God in the form of the Divine Mother Kali for many thousands of years. Kali is She from whom all are born and into whom all must eventually return. She is the ultimate power of creation and destruction, and pervades every aspect of the universe. While Her iconography and mythology have deep mystical and symbolic meaning, Her essence is simple: transformation. Loving Her transforms our lives. She annihilates limitations, purifies hearts, fills lives with joy and protects Her children in ways understandable only to those who worship and depend on Her. Kali is the Goddess of the Tantric tradition, which is characterized by dynamic spiritual practices aimed at transforming consciousness. Primary among these is the devotional recitation of mantras and hymns. Chanting gives expression to the heart’s innate longing for the Divine while awakening subtle energies within the body and mind. This collection of rare hymns to Goddess Kali is being made available with the prayer that they will be approached with humility, devotion, and unselfishness. Translated by Swami Bhajanananda Saraswati © 2012 Kali Mandir www.kalimandir.org Gayatri Mantra for Goddess Kali Meditation on Dakshina Kali This meditation mantra is found in Kali Tantra and Tanta Sara. Dhyana mantras are recited to sonically invoke and mentally visualize the subtle forms of deities before meditation and worship.

  • IJ..Ta,.Dharma, and Sanfltana Dharma in Indian Culture: a Critical Appraisal
IJ..ta,.Dharma, and Sanfltana Dharma in Indian Culture: A Critical Appraisal G.C. NAYAK Saniitana dharma literally means eternal law, principle or norm. But in order to understand the concept of Saniitana dharma, as it is used in our cultural heritage, it is important that we first have a working knowledge of what dharma stands for. The word dharma is not easily translated into the English language. Dharma has been used in different contexts to means different things, but it is usually understood as that principle or law which sustains, supports or maintains (dhiiralJaY individuals as well as the social order, and when applied beyond the context of society to a broader universal context, it would mean that law which sustains or maintains the world as a whole, the universe itself. It may mean a supporting principle that is inherent in things tl1emselves; it may also denote that principle which needs to be followed for the sustenance of the individual and of society. Radhakrishnan in his Religion and Society talks of dharma as "the norm which sustains the universe, the principle of a thing by virtue of which it is what it is." In the Brh adiira~tyaka Upani~ad1 , we ftnd dharma being identified with satya or truth and being extolled as the most powerful of all, stronger than even the ruling class. It is possible for a man who is righteous to vanquish one who is physically or otherwise strong, and therefore there is nothing greater than dharma. 3 !Jta of the !Jgveda, as a matter of fact, is an antecedent of dharma, where it finds a more varied application, in the context of the universe, society as well as the Li fe of individuals.
