Its railway operations encompass 18 prefectures in the western half of Japan’s Sanyo Shinkansen main island of Honshu and the northern tip of Kyushu, covering a total service area of approximately 104,000 square kilometers. Other Conventional Lines The service area has a population of approximately 43 million people, equivalent to 34% of the population of Japan. The railway network comprises a total of 1,222 railway stations, with an operating route length of 5,015.7 kilometers, almost 20% of passenger railway kilometerage in Japan. This network includes the Sanyo Kansai Urban Area Shinkansen, a high-speed intercity railway line; the Kansai Urban (including the Urban Network) Area, serving the Kyoto–Osaka–Kobe metropolitan area; and other conventional railway lines (excluding the three JR-West branch offices in Kyoto, Osaka, and Kobe). The Sanyo Shinkansen is a high-speed intercity to the major stations of the Sanyo Shinkansen passenger service between Shin-Osaka Station in Line, such as Okayama, Hiroshima, and Hakata, Osaka and Hakata Station in Fukuoka in northern without changing trains. These services are Kyushu. The line runs through several major cities enabled by direct services with the services of Sanyo in western Japan, including Kobe, Okayama, the Tokaido Shinkansen Line, which Central Shinkansen Hiroshima, and Kitakyushu. -

Ich hoffe ich kann in den wenigen Seiten so viel Hinweise wie möglich für spätere Austauschstudenten geben, dennoch muss ich im Voraus euch warnen, dass ich ein halb Japaner bin. Viele Sachen kenne ich bereits aus Japan, sodass für mich manche Sachen anders erscheinen als für eine Person, die zum ersten Mal nach Japan kommt. Gewohnt habe ich jedoch noch nie zuvor in Japan, sodass ich mich entschlossen habe dieses Auslandssemester zu machen, um auch einen Eindruck in das Alltagsleben in Japan zu bekommen. Kurzes Porträt der Osaka University Die Osaka University zählt nach der Tokyo und der Kyoto University zu einer der besten Universitäten in Japan. Sie besteht aus drei verschiedenen Campi im Norden der Stadt. Gelangt man erst mal zu einem Campus, kann man dann von dort aus per kostenfreien Shuttlebus zu den beiden anderen Campi gelangen. Alle internationalen Studierenden sind in unterschiedlichen Wohnheimen, sowie in den UR Apartments der Osaka University untergebracht. Diese befinden sich entweder direkt auf dem Campus oder in der Nähe. Auf jedem Campus gibt es mehrere Cafeterien, welche weitgehend typisch japanische Gerichte anbieten. Ein Essen kostet hier zwischen 400 und 700 Yen. Die Auswahl ist reichlich, wobei es schwierig ist Gemüse zu finden. -
