Topics include Native American artists, Captain Richard Pratt and the Carlyle School for Indians, famous events and people in Indian/American history, oral tradition, history and culture of various tribes, North American archeology, religion and spirituality, myths and legends, efforts of the Oneida to take control of their children's education, cultural preservation and transmission to the next generation, ceremonies and rites of passage, the role and relevance of education in northern Canada, the 1992 White House Conference on Indian Education, tribal economic development, the success story of a Tohono O'odham high school,the revival of traditional Indian education, and stories that transmit beliefs and values.
