22 CHAPTER II THE LINGUISTIC FORMS AND LINGUISTIC FUNCTIONS OF ENGLISH POLITICS REGISTER FOUND IN POLITICAL COLUMN OF JAKARTA POST NEWSPAPER This chapter the writer tells about that this research illustrates how the register in English for Politics in "Jakarta Post” Newspaper can be integrated into linguistic phenomenon. Specifically, this research investigates the linguistic forms and functions of English political column in “Jakarta Post” Newspaper. Detail examination of linguistic phenomenon is described in this chapter. This chapter comprises two main parts of subchapters, namely finding, and discussion (data analysis). All the data in this research are taken from politics column in “Jakarta Post” Newspaper that published in March 20, 21, 22, 2014 edition. 2.1. Findings There are several finding of this research first the politic registers found in political column of “Jakarta Post” newspaper are categorized into several linguistic form. However, not all linguistic form are found it is found in political column them from: 2.1.1.
