Engine range extended for extra versatility and performance

New TCe 125, a new-generation Duster is now available with an engine from the group’s renowned TCe range. The TCe 125, a 125 bhp four-cylinder direct-injection turbocharged power unit, reaps the full benefit of Renault’s extensive engine downsizing program, delivering the driveability of a 1.8-liter normally- aspirated engine in a 1.2-liter format that affords much lower fuel consumption.

The TCe 125 is both powerful and economical. Fuel consumption is a frugal 6.3 l / 100 km7, while the lifetime timing chain is maintenance-free. The TCe 125 is mated to a six-speed manual gearbox and available on the 4x2 version of New Dacia Duster. 8 CO2 emissions are of 145g / km .

This new-generation powerplant features an aluminum engine block measuring 1,197 cc. It develops 125 bhp, with torque peaking at 205 Nm, 90% of which is available from 1,500 rpm and 100% from 2,000 to 3,000 rpm. This makes for an eminently supple response, convincing acceleration, and effortless pull-away. The engine’s supple, responsive characteristics also ensure the car is at ease on mountain roads that demand power and acceleration on steep gradients. The TCe 125 is agile and responsive, accelerating from 0 to 100 kph in 10.4 seconds9.

7 Combined-cycle fuel consumption, currently under homologation. 8 Combined-cycle emissions, currently under homologation 9 Performance figures pending homologation.

11

105 bhp 1.6-liter 16v petrol engine The 105 bhp 1.6-liter 16v engine, the most affordable petrol unit in the range, is still available on 4x2 and 4x4 versions of New Dacia Duster (in some countries). Combined-cycle fuel consumption with the 105 bhp 1.6 16v petrol engine is 7.1 l / 100 km10 on

10 10 the 4x2 Duster and 8 l / 100 km on the 4x4 version, with CO2 emissions of 165 / km and 185g / km10 respectively. This engine is combined with a six-speed manual gearbox on the 4x4 version.

105 bhp 1.6-liter 16v LPG engine Dacia also continues to promote LPG fuel as an economical alternative to diesel. In some countries, the 1.6 16v 105 engine is therefore available in a dual-fuel version, with lower running costs and lower CO2 emissions. Combined-cycle fuel consumption with the 105 bhp 1.6 16v dual-fuel engine is 7.2 l / 100 km11

11 for petrol and 9.0 l / 100 km for LPG, with CO2 emissions of 167 and 145 g / km respectively. As on all Dacia LPG vehicles, the driver selects the required fuel (petrol or LPG). Fuel selection is a perfectly straightforward operation. At a pump price of under €1 per liter, LPG can be a highly economical option. This engine is available on the 4x2 version of New Dacia Duster, coupled with a five-speed manual gearbox.

High-performance diesel New Dacia Duster is available with two versions of the 1.5 dCi powerplant, rated at 90 or 110 bhp. Renault’s best-selling 1.5 dCi engine, hugely appreciated for both reliability and performance, offers further enhancements. Superior drivability comes with improved acceleration, further facilitated by the highly efficient six-speed manual gearbox. The 1.5 dCi 90 engine is available on the 4x2 version, with combined-cycle fuel consumption

10 10 of 4.7 l / 100 km and CO2 emissions of 123g / km .

10 Combined-cycle CO2 emissions from the 1.5 dCi 110 unit stand at 127g / km on the 4x2 Dacia and at 135g / km10 on the 4x4 version, with fuel consumptions of 4.8l / 100 km10 and 5.2l / 100 km10 respectively.

The new TCe 125 petrol engine and the dCi 90 and dCi 110 diesel are mated to a six-speed manual gearbox.

The off-road capabilities of New Dacia Duster are further enhanced by the six-speed manual gearbox, which features a short-staged first gear affording: - smooth, gradual response at low speeds over uneven terrain - powerful pull-away on steep gradients - effective downhill load retention.

10 Consumption and emission figures certified to applicable regulations. 11 Combined-cycle emissions, currently under homologation

12 Reduced fuel consumption with the Eco Mode function and Gear Shift Indicator Eco Mode (available on some versions) helps drivers optimize fuel consumption. When activated, the system applies specific settings that limit engine performance and thermal comfort, within limits acceptable to both driver and passengers.

Eco Mode can cut fuel consumption and CO2 emissions by up to 10%, depending on driving style and road conditions.

The Gear Shift Indicator (GSI) uses visual signals to inform drivers of optimum revs for shifting up or down, to reduce fuel consumption.

Substantial improvements in acoustic comfort The overall noise level on board New Dacia Duster has been halved.

This very substantial improvement in acoustic comfort has been achieved by reducing noise from three sources: - road noise ; - engine noise ; - and wind noise.

Engines mated to the six-speed manual gearbox also benefit from improved acoustics at high speed; the noise level at 130 kph in New Dacia Duster is comparable to that at 90 kph on the previous version.

13

A hardworking compact SUV

Perfectly sized New Dacia Duster keeps the same compact body proportions – 4.31 m long and 2 m wide12 – for impressive agility. Sitting high up, drivers have excellent visibility and can anticipate any obstacles, for optimum safety.

A real off-roader (in 4x4 version) In its 4x4 version, New Dacia Duster is ideal for off-road use:

- reinforced underbody - high ground clearance (210 mm), for handling uneven terrain - true off-roader clearance angles: approach angle 29.3°, ramp breakover angle 23°, and departure angle 34.9°.

Compact footprint and light weight make for superb agility and enhanced off-road performance.

4x4 TO ORDER

Using the intuitive 4x4 control on the central console, the driver can adapt vehicle capabilities to actual conditions as required.

“4x2” mode

In 4x2 mode, the is locked into two-wheel drive. This mode, the most fuel- economical, is suitable for driving on good, dry road surfaces.

“Auto” mode

In Auto mode, torque is split between front and rear axles automatically on the basis of actual grip conditions, up to 50 % on the rear axles.

“Lock” mode

In Lock mode, the system locks electronically into four-wheel drive, transferring 50% of engine torque through to the rear wheels on a permanent basis. This mode is recommended at low speeds on uneven or low-grip surfaces (snow, mud, dirt, sand).

15 Dacia Duster 4x4 is equipped with a six-speed gearbox with a short first ratio (5.79kph per 1,000 rpm) which allows the vehicle to travel at very slow speed on uneven terrain, and improves performance as you pull away from standstill with heavy loads or on steep slopes. This simple, efficient and economical solution was favoured in order to meet the needs of Dacia Duster customers. The TL8 gearbox offers: - optimized output thanks to a single gearbox and module architecture which limits the number of gears engaged, and thanks to the use of a low-viscosity lubricant; - compactness: gearbox and gearshift module are positioned alongside each other with a view to freeing up cabin space and keeping interior roominess. - controlled mass: on the TL8 gearbox, the short first gear, instead of a transfer box, optimizes the number of gears engaged (and thus the mass) for a maximum level of performance; - a solution to keep the cost down: the TL8 gearbox is derived from the TL4 gearbox which is a high production volume organ within the Renault- Alliance.

The 16” wheels on New Dacia Duster are fitted with mud and snow tires featuring a special tread that clears mud, sand and soft snow more efficiently.

DACIA DUSTER ONE-TWO-THREE AT 2013 GAZELLES RALLY The “Gazelles” rally drivers finished one-two-three in Dacia Dusters in the category at this year’s Gazelles Rally, the 23rd such event. After 15 days of racing, 6 stages and 12-14 hours of orienteering a day, the all-women driving teams claimed an immense victory. Saida Berhamida and Safae Challal said: “We actually surprised ourselves in this race! Duster is very impressive – it can take you places other cars can’t!”

AND THE SAME DACIA FUNDAMENTALS: GENEROSITY, RELIABILITY AND SIMPLICITY FOR SHREWD CUSTOMERS

Dacia invented a new relationship with the automobile and shook up the established order. As a result, customers with tight budgets can now afford a new vehicle. Dacia buyers benefit from maximum peace of mind as Dacia cars boast renowned reliability and easy maintenance.

Renowned reliability

The high standards and expertise of the Renault group Dacia benefits from the Renault group’s expertise in quality and uses the reinforced processes and standards of the Renault-Nissan Alliance. New Duster is produced at the Pitesti plant in . The Pitesti plant, like all Renault’s manufacturing facilities, subscribes to the Renault Production Way, rolled out at all Renault group plants. Duster benefits from the reliability of Alliance engines, among them the 1.5 dCi, which is the best-selling Alliance engine with over one million units sold in 2012. New Dacia Duster also draws on all Nissan’s experience in 4x4 vehicles.

Dependable vehicles Like Renault vehicles, Dacia cars undergo rigorous testing under the most extreme conditions. In addition to the classic bench tests, all new Dacia vehicles go through extensive testing under the toughest of real-life conditions to ensure they offer long-life rugged reliability.

In addition to the 4 million kilometers of tests run for the first-generation Duster, New Dacia Duster has gone through a further 1,600,000 km of validation trials. And engine tuning has undergone high-altitude tests to verify behavior under different air composition conditions. All Duster systems have undergone tests simulating three years of real-life use, with repeated open/close cycles for doors and windows, seat and mirror adjustments, horn operation, etc.

In a survey carried out by the French consumer protection magazine "Que Choisir" involving 29,000 customers in France, Spain, Portugal, Belgium and Italy, Dacia was rated the most reliable brand in 2012.

In the last four years, the Dacia brand has won the Wertmeister award for several of its models, including Duster in 2011, 2012 and 2013 (compact SUV category). The German magazine "Autobild" awards the prize to vehicles with the best residual values.

17 Peace of mind in use

The manufacturer’s 3-year/100,000-km warranty comes with all the models in the range. The warranty includes service in any dealership in the network and top-level repairs with original parts. And for even more peace of mind, Dacia also offers warranty extension contracts.

Dacia wins first prize for low running costs in 2013 In the Car360° survey run by TNS Sofres in 2013, addressing more than 3,100 customers, Dacia ranked top for low running costs, underlining Dacia’s ongoing efforts to bring its customers the very best:

• vehicles powered by modern engines with low fuel consumption • highly competitive after-sales conditions (for parts and service) • good trade-in value • new vehicles with design and equipment upgrades, at the same price as the previous models.

ONE VEHICLE, ONE BRAND, TWO SUCCESS STORIES

The Duster adventure

Dacia Duster is an immense success, with sales of over 450,000 units in three years. Duster was one of the top ten best-selling cars in France in 2012. It has enhanced the image of the brand and helped it to win over new customers.

The success of Duster owes to more than mere affordability. The car has triumphed because of its intrinsic qualities.

The first of those qualities is its design, which clearly reflects its 4x4 credentials. Duster is also an impressive off-road performer, as shown by its results in high-profile races including Trophée Andros (France), Pikes Peak (USA) and the Gazelles Rally (). Duster scores high on everyday practicality. It has a roomy cabin, generous stowage and a huge trunk. It also has low running costs, with controlled fuel consumption thanks to Alliance engines (including a LPG model), and a low-cost servicing program, thanks to Dacia’s special after- sales offers. And the adventure can now continue with the all-new version of Dacia Duster.

“First and foremost, Duster has excellent design, admired across the board. More than 450,000 customers now drive a Duster, an impressive achievement for a car launched just a little over three years ago. Drivers were won over by its styling, its off-road abilities and its unbeatable price. More Duster than ever, New Duster is on its way to becoming a real motoring legend.” Renaud Pirel, Marketing Director, Entry range

19 The Dacia story

Dacia has proved a major sales success with over 2.5 million vehicles registered so far in Europe and the Mediterranean countries. With an entirely renewed range – the youngest in Europe – Dacia continues to develop, having moved into six new countries in 2013: the UK, Ireland, Norway, Denmark, Cyprus and Malta.

Dacia also has a large community of customers who are more than happy with their vehicles. The fifth big Dacia picnic in France this year set a new participation record with 15,000 people. Another example of Dacia’s community reach is the Dacia Land weekend “theme park” operation run by Dacia . A broad Dacia community has formed through the social networks, with more than 800,000 fans on the Dacia World Facebook page and a Dacia Facebook page in 21 countries.

“With an 18% year-on-year increase in registrations in first-half 2013 in Europe, Dacia posted the most significant progress in what is a lackluster market. New Duster rounds out an entirely renewed range, the youngest in Europe and the Mediterranean countries. Dacia is moving swiftly ahead with its success story.” Rafaël Treguer, Business Development Director, Dacia
