Vassula Ryden
NOVEMBER 25/DECEMBER 8/12, 2012 Vassula Ryden: Problems with Rome, Bishops worldwide and her own Orthodox Church, but welcome in India Vassula Ryden is a controversial Greek-Orthodox "seer" who claims to receive written messages from God. The intention of this alert is to provide reliable information to the Bishops, heads of retreat centers, lay leaders in ministry, and the Catholic laity at large in the Indian Church about the status of acceptance by the Catholic and Orthodox Churches of the Greek Orthodox "seer" named Vassula Ryden and her "messages". This alert will gradually be developed into a more-detailed report* which can be viewed under the same title at the "REPORTS" section of this ministry’s web site. Interested readers are requested to check our web site periodically for updates and new articles. *This report was updated on December 8, 2012. See pages 27 ff. Also see VASSULA RYDEN-TESTIMONIES at http://ephesians-511.net/docs/VASSULA_RYDEN_TESTIMONIES.doc. That file in the "CATHOLIC ISSUES" section of our web site contains four testimonies reproduced from www.infovassula.ch, a critical website on Vassula Ryden and her "True Life in God" messages. The www.infovassula.ch website which was run by a Switzerland-based Catholic apologist Maria Laura Pio had to be shut down because of legal proceedings initiated against her in a civil court in Belgium in 2011 by the "True Life in God" [TLIG]"seer" Vassula Ryden and her team of legal experts. More of that later. The writing and publishing of this alert is immediately necessitated by the receipt of information concerning the imminent visit of Vassula Ryden to various Catholic locations in India* on the back of a trip by her to Paris and Strasbourg in France which however has elicited strong warnings from six French bishops**. -

When I go to confession, it is in order to be healed, to heal my soul, to heal my heart and to be healed of some wrongdoing,” describes Pope Francis. (General Audience Feb. 2014). Pope Francis invites all to focus on the Sacrament of Reconciliation as an important dimension of experiencing God’s mercy. The Holy Father says: “So many people, including young people, are returning to the Sacrament of Reconciliation; through this experience they are rediscovering a path back to the Lord, living a moment of intense prayer and finding meaning in their lives. Commission 28 February 2019.Cdr
Com.mission 28 Volume: 1 No: 6, March 2019 Newsletter of Northeast India From the Secretary's Desk... Dear Friends, The enthusiastic participation of 54 religious personnel gathered at the Diocesan Social Forum, at Kharguli, Guwahati during the meeting organized by the Commission for Proclamation gave a clear message: Evangelization and proclamation of the Gospel are not outdated as one would often think in this fast moving world obsessed with many other matters which are seen as more vital. These were men and women who were secretaries for evangelization in the 15 Dioceses of Northeast India, and in the various provinces of the religious congregations working in the region. The input sessions and the discussions during the two days which focused on the present situation of the Church and its activities in the Northeast with regard to strengthening and spreading the faith were lively and practical. Coming together as a team was itself a manifestation of the eagerness of the Church to carry out the command of the Lord. Communion in Mission is achievable and in a situation where the Church is challenged on so many fronts, it is irreplaceable. It is the Master calling us to dream big and be part of His plan for the wonderful people of Northeast. Setting aside petty differences, sacrificing personal comforts, we are all asked to follow the Divine Master in His search for souls. As we enter the beautiful season of Lent, the call to conversion grows louder. The invitation to a personal experience of the Lord is extended to each one. -

Secondly, shadowing the fatherhood of the Heavenly Father follows Archbishop Speaks.... the logic of freedom. The accompaniment of a caring and responsible father does not mean being overprotective, possessive or overbearing. For, shadowing the Heavenly Father also implies respecting the freedom of the other, letting the other shape his or her own destiny, and providing THE VOCATION TO “SHADOW” THE FATHER the environment for the other to be the best self that he or she can be. The logic of love is the logic of freedom and therefore also the logic of Dear brothers and sisters in Christ Jesus, fatherhood. Love without freedom drifts into possessiveness and self- centredness. This requires a constant awareness that we are but foster Pope Francis, in his apostolic letter Patris corde, refers to Polish fathers and that the members of our families belong to God and not to novelist and catholic publicist Jan Dobraczyñski’s work ‘The shadow of us. They are not mere objects of our ‘petty-kingdoms’, but sons and the Father’ that describes the life of Saint Joseph based on biblical daughters of God entrusted to our care. Fatherhood, confused with texts in the form of a novel. Employing the image of a shadow, this authoritarianism, power and upper handedness only results in tyranny, novel shows how Saint Joseph, as the guardian of the Holy Family, oppression, dictatorship, and domination instead if trustful family subjected himself to God’s intentions and played his part of being a relationships. shadow of the Heavenly Father in a way that gives testimony to the values of responsibility, patience, and true love. -

Eucharist is ONENESS: (THE ECCLESIAL DIMENSION) “Because Archbishop Speaks.... there is one bread, we who are many are one body, for we all partake of the one bread.” (1Corinthians 10:17) Partaking of the One bread is Christ’s reminder of the radical truth that we are one body.
