O que é o LNG ou GNL? Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG), em inglês, ou Gás Natural Líquido (GNL), em português, é gás natural, que, quando arrefecido até temperaturas próximas dos 160 graus centígrados negativos, condensa-se para o estado líquido. O LNG passa para cerca de 1/600 do volume do gás natural em estado gasoso.
