Here are a few highlights: TOYS 4 TOTS — This year we generated $31,000 in donations that allowed us to provide over 15,000 toys to 4,900 kids in both Coweta and Fayette Counties. Additionally, we able to send approximately 6,000 toys to Greater Atlanta Toys 4 Tots for further distribution. Increased member volunteerism substantially. May 17, 11 years after the last American was evacuated from Saigon, yet another of our nation's sons came home -a hero. In solemn ceremonies held pierside at Pearl Harbor, the remains of the officially designated "Vietnam Unknown Serviceman" began an 11-day journey which will end with interment in the Tombs of the Unknown at Arlington National Cemetery in Virginia. As the emotional funeral dirge began, a traditional black hearse and representatives of each service escorted the flag-draped casket to the center of the ceremonial arena. The Fleet Marine Force, Pacific Band led a procession of honor platoons from each branch of the Armed Forces, including the Coast Guard, onto the ceremonial parade deck.
