Yvonne: To make me cry – or 'to make someone cry'… to make someone cry

Insert Don't say that, you'll make her cry…you made her cry…you made him cry…I'll make you cry

Yvonne: ‘Make her cry'… we use 'make' - the simple present, before she has started crying. But we use 'made' – the simple past, if the person is already crying - or, has already finished crying. Insert I couldn't help it – I was so emotional. When I saw the video of the wedding again, it just made me cry.

Yvonne: She felt so emotional when she was watching her wedding video again, that it made her cry. It made her cry. Insert I couldn't help it – I was so emotional. When I saw the video of the wedding again, it just made me cry.
