An intensive five-year research process resulted in a story told through a montage of clips from fiction films and exclusive documentary archive, interspersed with interviews with key filmmakers, actors and studio bosses, as well as President Tito’s personal projectionist.

  • APPENDIX Lesson 1.: Introduction
APPENDIX Lesson 1.: Introduction The Academy Awards, informally known as The Oscars, are a set of awards given annually for excellence of cinematic achievements. The Oscar statuette is officially named the Academy Award of Merit and is one of nine types of Academy Awards. Organized and overseen by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (AMPAS),http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Academy_Award - cite_note-1 the awards are given each year at a formal ceremony. The AMPAS was originally conceived by Metro-Goldwyn- Mayer studio executive Louis B. Mayer as a professional honorary organization to help improve the film industry’s image and help mediate labor disputes. The awards themselves were later initiated by the Academy as awards "of merit for distinctive achievement" in the industry. The awards were first given in 1929 at a ceremony created for the awards, at the Hotel Roosevelt in Hollywood. Over the years that the award has been given, the categories presented have changed; currently Oscars are given in more than a dozen categories, and include films of various types. As one of the most prominent award ceremonies in the world, the Academy Awards ceremony is televised live in more than 100 countries annually. It is also the oldest award ceremony in the media; its equivalents, the Grammy Awards (for music), the Emmy Awards (for television), and the Tony Awards (for theater), are modeled after the Academy Awards. The 85th Academy Awards were held on February 24, 2013 at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles, California. Source: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Academy_Award Time of downloading: 10th January, 2013.

Until October 2014 it was the only translation of “Romeo and Juliet” that existed in Albanian. Although Kristo was not an English graduate and was basically self-taught in English, this first translation has certainly undeniable merits. The Albanian text was used for reading by the university students for several decades. It was used as the basic text for the production of this tragedy on stage. It was first produced in 1964 by the students of the Drama School of the Academy of Arts in Tirana. It was then produced in March 2011 by Teatri Metropolitan “Shekspir” in Tirana. This first translation was published several times in separate and collected editions in Albania and Kosova (Kosovo). Reassessment of Shakespeare’s Works in Albania I started the retranslation of the tragedy “Romeo and Juliet” into Albanian in January 2014 and finished it on July 5th 2014. This second Albanian translation of “Romeo and Juliet” was published in October 2014. Ob tem pregledam modernistične in postmodernistične pojme v okviru nove slovenske proze. Nato ob analizi vsakega romana posebej prikažem značilnosti Filipčičeve poetike in njene morebitne variante. ABSTRACT: The article departs from the diagnosis of post-Yugoslav contemporary accounts of Yugoslav and partisan events. The critique of nationalist and Yugono- stalgic discourses discloses shared assumptions that are based on the ‘romantic’ temporality of Nation and on history as a closed process. In the main part of the article the author works on the special, multiple temporality of partisan poetry that emerged during the WWII partisan struggle. The special temporality hinges on the productive and tensed relationship between the ‘not yet existing’ — the position of the new society free of foreign occupation, but also in a radically transformed society — and the contemporary struggle within war, which is also marked by the fear that the rupture of the struggle might not be remembered rightly, if at all. The memory of the present struggle remains to be the task to be realized not only for poets, but for everyone participating in the struggle.
