Do your students know the difference between fuchsia and chartreuse? Here are some ways to have a little fun with this colorful word wall.
Introduce the color of the day, and have students use it in their
writing sometime during the day.
Encourage students to substitute these vivid words in place of the
more commonly used colors when writing.
Use Duke blue and Yale blue as a springboard to discuss proper
adjectives.
Have students group words onto a Venn Diagram based on colors.
