Why we need Sydney Gateway

The freight and logistics industry is a critical contributor to the NSW economy. According to Transport for NSW statistics, the sector contributed $66 billion per annum to NSW State Gross Product in 2017 and over $200 billion to freight operations in NSW each year. Increasingly, road freight is subject to congestion and travel time delays, particularly in peak periods on the M4 and M5 motorways and around Sydney Airport and Port Botany. The NSW Government is committed to completing the missing links in the motorway network to improve traffic flow and create easier connections to essential economic gateways.
