Property: The Greenbrier is an award-winning resort located in White Sulphur Springs, West Virginia. A National Historic Landmark, The Greenbrier represents 230 years of history with its classic architecture, exquisite interior design, carefully sculpted landscape, impeccable service and outstanding amenities. This renowned property offers 682 rooms, including 33 suites and 96 guest and estate houses. The Greenbrier has 10 lobbies, more than 40 meeting rooms and a complete conference center facility. Guests enjoy more than 50 recreational activities including three championship golf courses, indoor and outdoor tennis courts, a 40,000 square-foot spa, and a wide variety of other amenities. The Greenbrier provides accommodations and activities to please individuals, couples, families and conference groups.

Location: The beautiful in White Sulphur Springs, West Virginia provide the setting for The Greenbrier’s 6,500 acre estate. Located just off Interstate 64, The Greenbrier is easily accessible from most major cities by air, auto or train.

History: In the late 1700s, the sulphur springs were discovered as a medicinal miracle and as word of their healing powers spread, more and more travelers came to the area. These visitors began building a cottage community in the early 1800s and in 1858, The Grand Central Hotel, commonly known as the Old White Hotel, was added to provide additional guest rooms and a dining room. In 1910, the C & O Railway purchased the property, including the cottages and hotel, for $150,000. That same year, construction began on the central portion of today’s Greenbrier. During World War II, the property was sold to the U.S. Army and became known as Ashford General Hospital. After the war, C & O repurchased the property and hired the renowned interior designer Dorothy Draper to completely redecorate The Greenbrier.

During the height of the , the U.S. Government built a relocation facility for Congress at The Greenbrier. This 112,544 square-foot bunker, although never activated, remained a top secret for 30 years. Today, daily tours are offered of this one-of-a-kind facility. The resort boasts more than two centuries of famous guests, including 26 presidents, royalty, business leaders, politicians and celebrities. The Greenbrier’s archives are maintained and displayed in the Presidents’ Cottage Museum.

In May 2009, the Justice Family Group, led by , a third generation West Virginian, purchased the resort from CSX. - more - - 2 -

Dining : Prime 44 West is a premiere steakhouse honoring NBA legend and West Virginia native Jerry West and featuring exceptional cuts of beef and vegetables from The Greenbrier Farm. The Main Dining Room serves breakfast and dinner are served daily and are comprised of a delectable combination of classical, continental and American cuisine. An elegant experience, the Main Dining Room is fine cuisine and service at its best. In-Fusion , an Asian-fusion restaurant with a showcase sushi bar, features Pacific Rim cuisines and signature cocktails infused with citrus and fresh herbs Draper’s, named for the famed designer Dorothy Draper, serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner as well as dessert and soda fountain specialties. Café Carleton , named for Draper protégé Carleton Varney, is a traditional coffee house where professional baristas create signature drinks amid breathtaking murals and marble accents. ’s at the Golf Club is open seasonally for lunch and dinner where an open kitchen with a wood-burning oven adds to the ambiance. Also located at the Golf Club is Slammin’ Sammy’s , serving snacks with large screen televisions for sports viewing as well as billiards, foosball and other games. The Forum offers authentic Italian cuisine, such as classic hand-tossed Neapolitan pizza made with the best imported semolina flour, burrata cheese and hand-picked preserved tomatoes from The Greenbrier Farm. Other specialties include house- made pastas and fresh seafood . The Lobby Bar exemplifies the classic elegance that is ever present within the resort. The warm and inviting alcove is ideal for enjoying an aperitif or meeting friends for an after-dinner cocktail. The epitome of Southern elegance, Twelve Oaks lounge is a refined setting with a stately equestrian theme. The Rhododendron Café , located adjacent to the indoor pool, offers a wide range of snacks and beverages. Golf: The , a PGA TOUR, FedEx Cup event will be played July 25- July 31, 2011 on The Old White Course. With three championship courses and The Greenbrier Golf Academy, The Greenbrier is unmatched in its dedication to golfers. In 1979 The Greenbrier Course hosted the International Matches and the 1994 Matches.
