Choi Han Jin Choi Han Jin www.space1326.com 1 Founded in 2012 with support of Changwon city, Space 1326 has been presenting emerging talented artists both About Space 1326 in the regional and international art markets. The gallery collaborates and cooperates with numerous young artists including seven major artists and thirty artists nationwide. Space 1326 has been committed to introducing Korean modern art to international audience through participating in multiple international art fairs. The gallery has represented Korean artists’ current work across all media at international art fairs held in Hong Kong, Amsterdam, and Hamburg. The program continues to expand on presentation of growing Korean artists in the worldwide art world. Also, the gallery endeavors to serve as a platform for interaction between original artists and audience. 2 Choi Han Jin 3 Rapid advance of science and technology benefited human with more convenient and affluent life, yet brought about Biography Choi Han Jin social problems as well. Choi Hanjin explores the discourses on scientific development and social changes through the concept of ‘cyborg’, a hybrid of humanity and technology. Throughout the artist’s oeuvre, a cyborg represents modern time and suggests prediction of future. The ‘cyberpunk’ series visualises the interaction between the humanity and technology. The text, symbols and lights that reference evolution of communications technology are incorporated to ready-made helmet or gas mask which resembles the human head. Field survey and water quality analysis were performed in July 2019, February 2020, and April 2020. Hydrochemical analysis of karst water (groundwater and surface water) showed that most samples were comprised of Ca-HCO3 and that water–rock interactions were a dominant factor compared to precipitation and evaporation (crystallization). For seasonal characteristics, water–rock interactions appeared more active in the dry season than in the rainy season. Calcite weathering was dominant in the dry season, whereas dolomite weathering dominated the rainy season. Moreover, the saturation indexes for the dry and rainy seasons were less than and greater than 0, respectively, corresponding to an unsaturation (oversaturation) state; thus, white precipitate distributed in the study areas was deposited in the rainy season. Finally, as a result of analyzing the hydraulic characteristics between regions, hydrogeological similarities were identified between Hamaengbang-ri and Yeosam-ri, and between Gyogok-ri and downtown Samcheok, which suggested hydrogeological connectivity between each of the pairs.

In today’s integrated society, these relationships help to promote cultural and commercial ties. Focusing on global opportunity, the City of Federal Way currently has two sister cities- Donghae, South Korea and Hachinohe, Japan. Established on April 1, 2000, the sister city relationship with Donghae, a South Korean port city, continues to grow both culturally and commercially. However, there is still room for growth in efforts to sustain this relationship. This briefing report addresses the government structure, growing economy, future plans for development, rich culture, and recent news of Donghae City.     Temporary Seasonal Worker Program for E-9 Foreign Workers with Expiring Work Permit The Government of the Republic of Korea has implemented the following measure to allow foreigners with Non-Professional Employment (E-9) status, who are facing difficulty in departing from the ROK due to the COVID-19 pandemic, to engage in seasonal work (C-4) while staying in the country on Miscellaneous (G-1) status. Eligible applicants for Seasonal Work ◦ Eligible applicants are foreigners who, with failure to depart from the ROK after being granted the collective 50-day Extension of Stay, have either extended their stay for departure or applied for Postponement of the Termination of Departure, among those with Non-Professional Employment (E-9) status whose Period of Stay has expired, or is due to expire, between April 14, 2020 and September 30, 2020 after completion of work for 3 years or 4 years 10 months. Work Period and Type: Eligible applicants start working between August 24, 2020 and October 31, 2020 in a farming or fishing village, and may choose to work for 30-day, 60-day, or 90-day period. Work Conditions: Payment of Minimum wages or higher and coverage of industrial accident compensation insurance for workers ※ If necessary, farming/fishing households may offer meals and accommodation. (Yet, some costs to be charged to foreign workers) Application Period: From August 24 (Mon.), 2020 until September 30 (Weds.), 2020 Granted Status and Period of Stay ◦ Status of Stay: Miscellaneous (G-1) status is granted with Permission to engage in Activity other than that permitted by the Status of Stay previously granted (Seasonal Work, C-4).
