Respiratory tract infections (RTIs) are Hamid Haghani,3 Myung-Bae Park,1,2 common indications, mostly imprudent, for antibiotic prescriptions in outpatient setting. These underground resources are buried around north-east mountain belong to GANGWON-DO province. In 1957, the first rail road called HAMBAEK-SEON (咸白線) was built and YEONGAM-SEON (榮巖線) was followed to be opened in 1955. But, to utilize the biggest mining areas scattered around JEONGSEON, the first part of JEONGSEON-SEON (旌善線) was built 20 Jan 1967. And, we extended the rail road into the deeper mountain side. In 1974, the construction was finally completed as the final route of AURAJI – GUJEOLLI station was built. Considering the economy scale of South Korea at that time, it was big news. So, even Mr. PARK JEONG-HEE president participated in the opening ceremony. But, because current Korea became the expensive cost country, the mining cost is losing the feasibility. Therefore, the quantity of residence people and transportation demand drop until 2000. -

The country’s 9th Basic Plan for Electricity Power Supply and Demand (9th BPESD) presents a unit-level operation schedule for coal power plants that would see nearly 27 GW of coal-fired power capacity still online in 2034, with coal eventually being phased out in 2054, almost 25 years later than is required to be Paris Agreement compatible. -

Toward a (Sub)-Regionalization of South Korea’s Unification Policy – the Proposal of a Romantic Road for Gangwon Province Bernhard Seliger, Hyun-Ah Choi* 70 years after the start of the Korean War, the Korean Peninsula is still divided, and a peace regime is not in sight. The hopes of 2018, a year full of exciting summit diplomacy starting with the Winter Olympic Games in PyeongChang and culminating in terms of South-North relations in the Panmunjeom declaration of April 2018, have been dashed, and inter-Korean relations slid back to the familiar, but depressing pattern of stalemate and mutual recriminations. All initiatives taken as part of the Panmunjeom declaration, like the modernization and connection of railroad lines, are stalled or have failed. One reason for this might be that the approach taken for inter-Korean relations has always been highly centralized and focused on a few, large projects. These projects were prone to fail or were even, like in the case of the Iron Silk road, non-starters. The current debate to allow individual tourism is a reaction to overcome this centralized approach. Another important way to decentralize unification policies of South Korea is the sub-regionalization, i.e. the active involvement of provinces, counties and cities in unification policies. While there has been some precedent, like the mandarin shipments from Jeju province, the discretion for action by provinces or counties has always been very small. -

Soon aftermath of the disaster, many foreign medical teams (FMTs) headed toward the site, and the Korean team was one of them. METHODS: This study described the experiences of the team during the initial phase of response, focusing on collaborative efforts with the local medical team. RESULTS: The Korean team was capable of providing primary care, and the Filipino team provided incomplete secondary care which was insufficient for covering the patient load. Not only did the Korean team provide electricity for hospital operation and various materials, but also supplemented medical personnel, who covered the emergency and outpatient departments. Collaborative efforts filled in each other’s gap, and resulted in great synergy. CONCLUSION: Disaster medical relief mission of FMTs should be cooperated with a coordination mechanism. Collaboration with the local resources can be a great opportunity for both parties, and should not be overlooked in any disaster situations. -
