2015-2016 BOARD OF DIRECTOR BIOGRAPHIES Douglas G. Adkins Vice President, Human Resources ESPN Douglas G. Adkins rejoined ESPN, Inc. as Vice President, Human Resources in 2007 to lead the HR Business Partner and Employee Relations teams, among other management responsibilities. He originally joined ESPN Human Resources in 1998 as Manager, Employee Relations. During his ESPN tenure, he received successive promotions to the position of Vice President, Human Resources, before leaving the company to be a stay-at-home father in 2005. Prior to joining ESPN, Doug worked as a Litigation Associate at Jackson, Lewis, Schnitzler & Krupman in Hartford, Conn. He began his professional career as a Staff Attorney for the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and also served as an attorney for a Connecticut-based labor organization. Doug holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Connecticut and a Juris Doctorate from the University of Minnesota. Dave Crossen Senior Vice President, Human Resources NBC Broadcasting and Advertising Sales Dave Crossen is Senior Vice President of Human Resources for NBC Broadcasting and Advertising Sales. In this role, Crossen is responsible for all aspects of human resources for the more than 5,000 employees that comprise the company’s 28 NBC and Telemundo local television stations and its regional news network, NECN; the Advertising Sales division; and the Broadcasting division’s Syndication, Research and Distribution teams. Crossen has more than 20 years of human resources experience, including over a decade at NBCUniversal. Prior to his current role, he was the Vice President of NBCUniversal Integrated Media and International Television from 2004 to 2007, where he was charged with overseeing a team of human resources professionals supporting over 2,000 employees globally. Before that position, Crossen was tapped for an 18-month assignment as the human resources leader dedicated to the merger between NBC and Universal. He started with the company in 2003 as the Vice President of Organization and Staffing. Crossen joined NBCUniversal from GE, where he worked as the human resources leader for GE Asset Management, an investment company responsible for the management of over $200 billion in pension, client and insurance company assets, from 2000 to 2003. Previously, he held organizational development and training roles with GE Global Consumer Finance, GE Insurance Holdings and at GE’s Management Development Center in Crotonville, New York. Crossen’s career with GE began in 1992 when he joined GE Capital in Edinburgh, United Kingdom. Crossen holds a B.A. in economics from the University of Manchester and was awarded an IPD (Institute of Personnel and Development) Diploma in 1993. He resides in Montclair, New Jersey with his wife and two sons. Marisa Famulare Senior Vice President, Human Resources HBO Marisa Famulare is Senior Vice President, Human Resources for Home Box Office, responsible for overseeing the company’s East Coast talent acquisition and employee relations functions. She was named to this position in December 2011. Famulare joined HBO in June 2000 as Manager, Human Resources, serving as HR representative for the Corporate Communications, Tech Ops, Legal, Business Affairs and HBO Sports groups; and named Director, Employee Relations, in February 2002, with the addition of the Finance and IT areas. In June 2008, she was promoted to Vice President, Human Resources, responsible for all NY-based recruiting and employee relations. Before joining HBO, Famulare worked at A+E Television Networks, where she held various HR positions from September 1988 through June 2000. These included Recruiter and Manager, Human Resources. Famulare holds a BS degree in Communications from St. John’s University. She is an active member of the Society of Human Resources Management (SHRM). Fatimah Garvey Vice President, Compensation CBS Corporation Fatimah Garvey is Vice President, Compensation, for CBS Corporation. In this role she provides guidance and consultation on compensation strategies and competitive benchmarking to CBS client groups CBS Network, Showtime Network, and Simon and Schuster Publishing. Garvey is also responsible for global salary planning and executive contracts and employment agreements that support succession planning. Prior to joining CBS in 2006, Garvey served as a Compensation Analyst for Polo Ralph Lauren from 2004 – 2006, and at KBR Halliburton from 2002 – 2004. She holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from The University of Texas at Austin and completed her CCP Certification in 2009. Lisa Kaye President & CEO greenlightjobs Lisa Kaye has worked as a senior human resource leader for top companies in the digital media, e-commerce, broadcast and cable television, animation, and live entertainment space. Having successfully launched a niche media and entertainment industry job board and career site at http://www.greenlightjobs.com in 2001, Kaye has entered into a number of strategic affiliate partnerships with Yahoo HotJobs, Indeed.com, SimplyHired, Animation Magazine, Creative Talent Network, AWN and others. As an entrepreneur and a business professional, Kaye consults with leading media companies from start-up or as they undergo reorganizations and management restructuring. Some of her clients include Ticketmaster, Live Nation, House of Blues, Stone Canyon Entertainment, G4 Media, Teletech, Pure Management Group, Disney/ABC and Pixar. Kaye has acted as interim Chief HR Advisor both for both public and private companies, helping business leaders with issues around corporate restructuring, realignment, staffing with an emphasis on start-up ventures as well as streamlining organizational efficiencies to reduce costs. Kaye gained her reputation as a seasoned business executive with over 20 years experience specializing in strategic human resources best practices primarily within media & entertainment. Prior to launching greenlightjobs, Kaye held the post of Senior Vice President, Human Resources for E! Networks, now part of Comcast Entertainment Group, a $1 billion media holding, and served as part of the Operating Committee managing the company during a two-year management restructure. In her role at E!, Kaye was responsible for implementing and directing key “best practices” initiatives for the company including re-engineering of its senior management team. Kaye was part of the launch team for E! Online and the Style network during a profitable growth phase for the company. In addition, Kaye has held senior HR leadership roles at Ticketmaster, Lifetime Television and Disney/ABC Media Networks. As an HR consultant, Kaye most recently worked with the OWN-Oprah Winfrey Network on the pre-launch start-up of handling the business human resources operations. Prior to her work at OWN, Kaye worked on the post-merger acquisition of Ticketmaster & Live Nation (LYV) realizing nearly $60 million in cost reductions including merging two organizations with a combined total asset of over $4 billion and a total global employee population of over 10,000 full- time and nearly 15,000 seasonal employees. As Chief HR Advisor for Live Nation, Kaye helped with the post-merger consolidation and integration of House of Blues a publicly traded company. While there, Kaye assisted with strategic corporate integration, mergers & acquisition, divestitures, labor and employee relations, executive compensation and stock option administration, corporate benefits and oversaw the creation of the company’s talent acquisition team, saving the company over $10 million dollars in cost reductions. Kaye consulted on the corporate reorganization for Pure Management Group, a live entertainment company based in Las Vegas, with an estimated $100 million investment portfolio in nightclubs, bars and restaurants. Kaye successfully resolved over 30 outstanding labor relation issues and grievances within 4 months saving nearly $1 million in liability for the company. Kaye also served as the interim head of HR for Pixar, the Oscar-winning animation company prior to its acquisition by The Walt Disney Company. Kaye, a native of New York and makes her home in Los Angeles, CA. She attended St John’s University and is a graduate of Fordham University, NY with degrees in Media Communications and Journalism. Judith Mills Group Vice President, Human Resources Mediacom Communications Judith Mills is the Group Vice President, Human Resources at Mediacom Communications. Mills has 25 years of progressively responsible Human Resources experience. At Mediacom, she oversees all human resource functions including recruitment, employee relations, compensation and performance managements, health and wellness programs, staff training and leadership development, and field safety programs. Mills began her career at Covenant House, an international non-profit human service agency. In her last position there, she served as Vice President where she worked on national and international human resource matters. Mills has been a formidable leader in cultivating successful college relations and spearheading Mediacom’s efforts to develop an internship program that has resulted in top talent joining its ranks.
