Looking forward to the new academic year, the RCIA program is continuing to grow. After student feedback, the UCC is now hosting RCIA meetings after the 11:30 am Sunday Mass to accommodate student’s busy schedules instead of having RCIA on Monday nights. “I’m thrilled because I already have several phone calls and emails about students wanting to become Catholic,” says Dorothy, “and can’t wait for this program to be even better this year.” Partners in Ministry Over 35 students attended the FOCUS Student Leadership Summit in Dallas January 3-7, 2014 and 5 alumni from the Class of 2014 will be serving as missionaries throughout the U.S. this next year. “The Catholic Center and FOCUS played a huge role in my spiritual development. The UCC was my spiritual home and FOCUS was my spiritual family. Without them, I know I wouldn’t know Jesus like I do today and definitely wouldn’t have received the courage to be a missionary.” ~Dorian Arellano (‘14) New Adoration Eucharistic Procession Tabernacle UCC students kicked off Through the generosity of 48 hours of adoration leading the Scanlan Foundation and up to finals with the second our alumni, we now have a annual Eucharistic procession new Adoration tabernacle through campus after the 8pm in our Blessed Sacrament Mass on May 4th.
