Loretta Marlow Head Coach The Lady Eagle basketball program begins its third season under the solid guidance of head coach Loretta Marlow. After posting a 14-13 record in her 1nit1al season. Coach Marlow led the Lady Eagles to the Ohio Valley Conference's Post-Season Tournament last year. "We feel we have the potential to be in the upper division of the OVC, " Marlow com­ mented. "We need to get a strong contnbu­ tion at the center position from our new recruits. " Marlow, 30, earned her bachelor's degree from Tennessee Tech Univers1ty In 1978 and her master's degree from MSU in 1979. She started as a graduate assistant coach in volleyball and basketball in the fali of 1978. During those five years, Marlow helped the Lady Eagle program enjoy five winning seasons, including two 20-win campaIgns. Beginning her third season as head coach. Marlow (30-31) feels a player is needed to come forward and establish herself as a team leader. "Janice (Towles) was our team leader last year," Marlow said. A farmer member of the Carnegie Founda­ tion Nat1onal Advisory Panel and chairman of the Commonwealth of Kentucky Committee of Presidents, he has been a consultant to the Algenan M1nistry of Higher Education, the U.S. Department of Education, and the Ford Foundation as well as to state agencies in South Carolina and Tennessee. He has served on the boards of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools, the Southern Regional Educat1on Board, the Kentucky Educational Telev1sion Authority, and the American Association of State Colleges and Universities. He is mamed to the farmer Grace Carroll of Etowah, Tenn. They are the parents of twin sons: U.S. Army LTC C. Wesley Albright, who is stationed in Washington, D.C., and E. Thomas Albright, an executive with the Du Pont Company in Wilmington, Del.

Dr. A. D. Albright became president of Morehead State University on July 1, 1986. The 73-year old native of Virginia has been involved in higher education in Kentucky tor nearly three decades. From 1976 to 1983 he was president of Northern Kentucky Univer­ sity and most recently was consultant to the Office of the Mayor, Lexington-Fayette Ur­ ban County Government. He posted a 148-74 career coaching record at Morris Harvey !rom 1957 through 1965 belore moving to WVU. He posted a 205-141 college coaching record and a 274-156 tatai career record. Last year Moran was 1nducted into the Univers,ty of Charleston's Sports Hall of Fame. Moran's coaching success d1d not go unrecognized.
