    COMPANY STATEMENT FROM MACQUARIE MEDIA CHAIRMAN, RUSSELL TATE Saturday 17 August 2019 On Thursday on his 2GB and 4BC breakfast show, Alan Jones made certain comments in respect of New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern, which caused offence to many people. Recognising the offence caused by his remarks, Alan on Friday publicly apologised for them. In his apology, Alan recognised that his comments were “careless, unnecessary and wrong”, and “should have been more clearly thought out”. He indicated that he had apologised sincerely to Prime Minister Ardern for any offence given, and had certainly not intended to suggest any harm through his comments. Notwithstanding his apologies, I have today discussed the matter with Alan and advised him that any recurrence of commentary of this nature will result in the termination of his contract. Currently, Bianca spends her time in various media roles in both TV and radio. Specifically, Bianca is a regular panellist on Fox Sports GAME DAY LIVE and the ABC’s Sideliners as well as a regular on SEN and Macquarie Sports Radio. In addition to this, Bianca is a sought after MC, keynote speaker and she also facilitates leadership workshops. As an extension of Bianca’s online leadership program The Ignition Project, in 2016 Bianca launched her first book called Game On which seeks to empower women to find their passion, navigate through the fear of change, and nail down a game plan to make it happen. Bianca, together with Victoria University Sport, has developed a High Performance Academy through which she provides high performance netball coaching to a group of young women who share the desire of playing netball an the elite level.

    Annual Report 2019 OVERVIEW During FY19, Nine completed the merger with Fairfax Media, creating Australia’s leading integrated media business. Nine today has a clearly diversified earnings base, with four key operational pillars — Broadcasting, Digital and Publishing, Stan as well as a 59% stake in Domain. These businesses are all at different stages of their evolution, and are all scale businesses in their own right. In FY19, on a Pro Forma basis, the traditional Broadcasting business contributed just over half of Group revenue, down from 84% in FY18, marking a real change in the drivers of Nine for the future. Result in brief In FY19, Nine reported Group EBITDA of $350 million, up 36% on FY18, driven by a 40% increase in Group Revenues to $1.8 billion, reflecting the impact of the merger with Fairfax from 7 December. On a continuing business basis, Statutory Net Profit after Tax and Specific Items, which were predominately accounting led non-cash items, was $217 million, up 3%. On a Pro Forma basis, NEC reported Group EBITDA of $424 million, up 10% on FY18, on revenue of $2.3 billion. Net Profit after Tax and minority interests increased by 16% to $198 million compared to the FY18 result. Earnings per share was 11.6 cents, (+16%) and a full-year dividend of 10c per share, fully franked, was declared.     SHITBOX RALLY 2019 AUTUMN - PR REPORT- PERTH TO SYDNEY MAY 8 - 17 ABOUT THE SHITBOX RALLY 2019 AUTUMN Shitbox Rally 2019 Autumn was the biggest rally ever in more ways than one. The distance was longer (5150kms from Perth to Sydney via Uluru) there were more travel days (10 instead of 7) and most importantly there was more money raised for Cancer Council than ever before, with the total being $2,640,505!! Highlights included a huge send off from Perth, travelling to the iconic Uluru, dress up Smurfs, Princesses and Village People days, battling the Oodnadatta track and our own Shitbox Wedding in the middle of Australia, plus we finished in one of the most beautiful parks in Australia, Centennial Park. Day 3 2019 PR OVERVIEW Promoting the Shitbox Rally 2019 Autumn started early as this was a big one - the 10th Shitbox Rally Australia and longest rally ever. Interest was high, particularly in Perth and Sydney - the big city start and finish lines - as well as regional areas throughout WA and NSW. The start line featured every major news station in Perth with numerous live-crosses and the finish line was covered by The Daily Edition and Prime 7, despite the Federal Election being held the following day! OVER 500 PIECES OF MEDIA WERE GENERATED ACROSS TV, RADIO, PRINT AND ONLINE WITH AN AUDIENCE/REACH OF OVER 1,735,973 MILLION. PR OVERVIEW A total of seven press releases were sent with over 2700 editors, journalists, media influencers and media outlets around Australia reading them.
