While walking look for things you like and don’t like on the trail and write these down or take pictures of them. 3. Remember to mark down on the map where you took your photographs and write down why you decided to take a photograph of each thing. 4. If you have disposable cameras remember you only have a limited number of photos so try to use them all but not too quickly. If you have a digital camera you can make this challenge harder by making a maximum photograph limit. 5. Once you have your pictures printed each group should stick them around a copy of the map which shows where they were taken and write what they liked/didn’t. 6. Discuss these with the other groups and find out if there are similarities or differences. Think about what we could do to change the things you did not like. Would these changes be suitable to put in the World Heritage Site? Green Map Treasure Hunt Every time you take a picture you should mark on the map where you took it and write down what it is. 1. Take a picture of an eco friendly form of transport. 2. Take a picture of a building that looks like it would be warm to live in during winter. 3. Take a picture of something that could be recycled. 4. Take a picture of a wild animal. 5. Can you find something that has been changed to a building to make it more sustainable? Take a picture of it. 6. Take a picture of something you think makes Edinburgh special. Edinburgh World Heritage, 5 Bakehouse Close, Edinburgh EH8 8DD. T: 0131 220 7720 www.ewht.org.uk.
