DG Eventos located in Bravo Murillo Street, nº 17 local 4, CP 35002, Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, CIF B-35.781.160. DG Eventos is a company that has been dedicated to organizing sporting events for more than 15 years. We have held events such as triathlon, duathlon, road races, mountain bike races or road bike events. Dg Eventos has organized the last two editions of the Gran Canaria Bike Week, La Cicloturista. An event that consists of traveling the island of Gran Canaria for 8 days, thus managing to go around the island through its charming municipalities. “Desafío La Titánica” has been held 15 years in a row. 1.3. GOAL. The purpose of this document is to serve as Technical Guide of the sport event “Escalada Pico de las Nieves”, as it is contemplated in the UCI Regulation of the sport Cyclist, cycling for all, to be part of the calendar of the International Cycling Union. 1.4. SITUATION. The “Escalada Pico de las Nieves”, will be based on the Municipality of Telde on the island of Gran Canaria (Spain) and developed on the roads municipalities: Telde, Vasequillo and Ingenio. 2. Security 4.1. HUMAN RESOURCES The security of the “Escalada Pico de las Nieves” is guaranteed by the Civil Guard of Traffic, the Municipal Police of the Municipality of passage, the Civil Protection of the Municipality that are passed by the Cyclist March, Network of communications Of the Government of the Canary Islands, Moto crew, staff members and volunteers. POINTERS A coordinator will be available at all times for each group of signatories who must speak one of the two official languages of the UCI. It will be available to the president of the technical jury or, if applicable, the delegate of the UCI will meet with the coordinator in order to optimize the procedures to give the instructions to the signatories (emergency plans, equipment, telephones, whistles, Radios ...). In this Cyclist Sport March has at least 35 pointers placed strategically along the route and indicated in the documentation of the Safety Plan. It is understood as sufficient to guarantee the safety of runners and spectators during the Cycle March. The minimum age of the pointers is the 18-year legal majority of Spanish age. Scope of action The personnel located at fixed points of the route with the mission of regulating the traffic in crossings, exits to the route and round abouts during the cycle event, in accordance with the stipulated agreements and the directives received from the General Direction of Traffic and Municipal Police. Mission of the position Prioritize bicycles in competition ahead of vehicles (cars, motorcycles, farm vehicles, bicycles..), and pedestrians. Procedure of action They must be located at the point assigned by the Organization, at least at the time detailed in the service sheet as the start. They must follow the guidelines they receive during the cycling event from the Organization's staff. Support requested from the Civil Traffic Guard and the Local Police TRAFFIC GUARD AND THE LOCAL POLICE For the correct functioning of the Safety of the Cyclist March and in the scope of the competences that they have, in the routes the are circulated by the Escalada Pico de las Nieves, it is requested the collaboration both from the Civil Guard of Traffic and the Municipal Police. The resources that will be made available to the Escalada Pico de las Nieves, will depend on the actual availability of means that they will have at the time of the March Cyclist. As for the Municipal Police, they have always covered the passage through the urban areas of the municipalities, in those points with greater risk, to the step of the cyclists. 6. Mechanical Safety Means In the Safety Plan of the Escalada Pico de las Nieves, each of the means used in the Cycle Sports will be specified. 7. Provisioning The supply will be authorized only in areas reserved for this purpose and are also used as a technical assistance area. The area is called the provisioning / technical assistance area. Each service area will be located in a flat or uphill area where the speed is low and in a sufficiently wide and long place that will be judiciously distributed along the route.
