Performance practice of contemporary music, musical notation, performance practice of Japanese biwa, recontextualization of gagaku instruments in contemporary context, restoration of ancient Japanese instruments, improvisation utilizing interactive electronic and computer systems, and audio/visual perception and production of multimedia compositions
