WHITE - A that is white with no evident contrasting pigment or hair colour. These will be registered into the Paint Bred or Breeding Stock registries accordingly. For the information of members White can be further described as –: This is a term used to describe a horse born completely white, with pink skin and coloured eyes (blue, brown, amber or hazel). These horses are truly white and white markings i.e. Blaze or socks, do not show up on a dominant . It should be noted that dominant white is epistatic to all other colours and they carry another colour but it does not show through. Dominant white is lethal in the homozygous state.

SABINO WHITE: Are offspring from Sabino parents born white with pink skin and usually dark eyes, though pale eyes are not unknown, may have rudimentary colours of ears, pole etc at birth that fades away with the change of foal coat. In later life the (spot) pigmentation may develop in ears, over the wither and genital areas.

OVERO WHITE: These foals are associated with the ' Lethal White' syndrome and are born white with pink skin and usually light eyes. There is a 25% chance of this resulting from Overo to Overo breeding. The 'Overo Lethal White' is born with congenital bowel abnormalities and die soon after birth.

COMBINED WHITE: These are white horses with pink skin, often with either dark or pale eyes, sometimes one dark, one light. Many 'medicine hat' horses are the result of a combination of patterns e.g. Sabino, Overo, and .
