Day 2: Tuesday, October 9, 2018 | Paris | Lisieux (D) Upon arrival in Paris, meet your Catholic, European tour escort. Depart for Lisieux, the home of St. Therese, whom Pope Pius X called “the greatest saint of modern times” and one to whom many have a devotion to her ‘unfailing novena’. Celebrate Mass at the Basilica of Lisieux. Welcome Dinner and overnight in Lisieux. Day 3: Wednesday, October 10, 2018 | Lisieux | Omaha Beach (CB | D) This morning, visit the places relating to the life of St. Therese. Her extraordinary love for God and service to humanity come alive as you visit the Cathedral of St. Peter, and Les Buissonets, her family home. On display are relics, clothing, and personal objects belonging to the “little fower.” View the statue depicting the Virgin Mary who smiled at St. Therese during an ecstasy before curing her illness. Combine your prayers in the Carmel Chapel with those of the Carmelite sisters, just as St. Therese did before her death in 1897. Celebrate Mass. Continue to Omaha Beach, used by the American troops during the D-Day landings of 1944. Here we will have time to pay our respects at the American Cemetery. Overnight in Lisieux. Day 4: Thursday, October 11, 2018 | Lisieux | Mont St. Michel (CB) Today enjoy an excursion to see the unique beauty of Mont Saint Michel. Perched on a rock in the Gulf of Saint Malo, it is one of the most famous abbeys in the world. During high tide, Mont Saint Michel becomes an island fortress. The causeway to the mainland is only accessible during low tide. Celebrate Mass at the Abbey of Mont St. Michel. This afternoon, enjoy a wine-tasting. Dinner on your own and overnight in Lisieux. Day 5: Friday, October 12, 2018 | Paris (CB | D) Today, depart for Paris and upon arrival enjoy a panoramic city tour of beautiful Paris including the Eifel Tower, Champs Elysées, Arc de Triomphe, the Notre Dame Cathedral, dedicated to Our Lady, and Sacre Coeur Basilica. Celebrate Mass at Basilica of Sacre Coeur where for over 100 years Eucharistic adoration has been a 24-hour devotion for the people of Paris. Enjoy time for lunch and exploring in Montmarte. Check into hotel, then enjoy a group dinner. Overnight in Paris. Day 6: Saturday, October 13, 2018 | Paris | Rue de Bac | Louvre (CB) This morning, celebrate Mass at the Shrine of the Miraculous Medal. View the incorrupt body of St. Catherine Laboure whose guardian angel led her to the chapel where the Blessed Virgin displayed a vision of the miraculous medal and later the green scapular. The Virgin promised bountiful graces for all who wore these and promulgated her devotion. Visit also St. Vincent de Paul church and tomb. Break for lunch on your own near the Louvre, before touring the museum, one of the world’s greatest museums housing some of the most famous works of art. Dinner on your own and overnight in Paris. Day 7: Sunday, October 14, 2018 | Train to Lourdes (CB | D) Check out and depart on the TGV high speed train to Lourdes. Lunch on own will be available on the train en route. Upon arrival, celebrate Mass at one of the chapels of Lourdes, then proceed to the hotel for check in and dinner. Overnight in Lourdes. Day 8: Monday, October 15, 2018 | Lourdes Shrine (CB) Celebrate Mass at the Lourdes Grotto, then visit the sanctuary, the basilica of St. Pius X, and the baths where hundreds of miraculous cures have taken place. See a video presentation telling the story of Lourdes and tour the campus of the shrine. Free time this afternoon for lunch, prayer, relaxing or shopping in the quaint streets of Lourdes. Dinner on own and option to attend the candlelight procession this evening. Overnight in Lourdes. Day 9: Tuesday, October 16, 2018 | Lourdes (CB | D) This morning, take a walking tour of the city of Lourdes and walk in the footsteps of St. Bernadette and the Soubirous family. See Boly Mill where the family lived and the prison where the impoverished family was forced to move. Lunch is at leisure, followed by free time to join the pilgrims from around the world as you pray for the sick, drink from the miraculous spring, or submerge yourself in the healing baths.
