Now the CARRERA SKI RACING TEAM can look back with satisfaction at the countless wins notched up in the various alpine ski events by the athletes who sported CARRERA helmets and goggles on the top steps of the most coveted podiums. In the women's championship, Sweden's ANJA PAERSON conquered several victories on her home ground, coming 1st in the world championship opening race that took place on 6th February and conquering the World Championship gold in the Women’s Super-G. On 9th February she skied to 1st place in the Super Combined, on Sunday 11th triumphed in the Downhill and finally took the Bronze Medal in the Slalom in the final women's event on 16thFebruary. After achieving three gold medals and one bronze, the Swede aimed to become the first woman to triumph in all individual disciplines at a major championships. There were great results too in the men's championship, with Italian MANFRED MOELGG who skied to a superb 2nd position in the Slalom, Swiss BRUNO KERNEN conquered third position in the Men’s Super-G held on 6th February, whilst Swiss MARC BERTHOD took Bronze in the Super Combined on 8th February.
