The station is a contributing structure within the Market Street Elevated Railway Historic District. Like many of the other stations along the Elevated, the 63rd Street Station embodies the distinctive characteristics of a particular early twentieth-century architectural style. Similar to the 561\ 52"d, and 46th Street Stations located to the east, the 63rd Street Station exhibits classical and eclectic detailing. The eastbound and westbound platform buildings are enclosed with copper paneling and pilasters.
