Then a loop back northwards to Redlynch and Hale before a grand finale down the Ornamental Drives, through Brockenhurst and more coastal fringes to the Arrivee. Nat. Croat., Vol. 30, No. 1, 37–52, 2021, Zagreb. From 2016 to 2020 numerous surveys were undertaken to improve the knowledge of the pyraloid moth fauna of Biokovo Nature Park. On August 27th, 2020 one specimen of Psorosa mediterranella (Amsel, 1954) from the family Pyralidae was collected on a small meadow (985 m a.s.l.) on Mt Biok- ovo. In this paper, the first data about the occurrence of this species in Croatia are presented. The previ- ous mention in the literature for Croatia was considered to be a misidentification of the past and has thus not been included in the checklist of Croatian pyraloid moth species. P. mediterranella was recorded for the first time in Croatia in recent investigations and, after other additions to the checklist have been counted, is the 396th species in the Croatian pyraloid moth fauna. An overview of the overall pyraloid moth fauna of Croatia is given in the updated species list. River Avon at Bulford An Advisory Visit by the Wild Trout Trust June 2013 Contents Introduction Catchment and Fishery Overview Habitat Assessment Recommendations Making It Happen 2 Introduction This report is the output of a Wild Trout Trust visit undertaken on the Hampshire Avon on the Snake Bend Syndicate’s (SBS) water near Bulford, national grid reference (NGR) SU155428 to SU155428. The visit was requested by Mr Geoff Wilcox, who is the syndicate secretary and river keeper. The visit was focussed on assessing the habitat and management of the water for wild trout Salmo trutta. Comments in this report are based on observations on the day of the site visit and discussions with Mr Wilcox. Throughout the report, normal convention is followed with respect to bank identification i.e. banks are designated Left Bank (LB) or Right Bank (RB) whilst looking downstream. Catchment and Fishery Overview The Hampshire Avon is recognised as one of the most important river habitats in the UK. It supports a diverse range of fish and invertebrates and over 180 different aquatic plant species. The Avon (and its surrounding water meadows) has been designated as a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI) and Special Area of Conservation (SAC); however, much of the Avon and its tributaries have been significantly modified for land drainage, agriculture, milling and even navigation. 3 The Avon begins its life as two separate streams known as the Avon West and the Avon East, rising near Devizes and the Vale of Pewsey respectively. The Avon West is designated as a SSSI whilst for reasons unknown, the Avon East is not. -

В естественных и лабораторных условиях достоверно установлена антофагия имаго Donacia bicolora, D. brevitarsis, D. obscura, D. thalassina, Plateumaris discolor, Cryptocephalus laetus, C. sericeus, C. solivagus, Labidostomis longimana, Hydrothassa marginella, Phaedon concinnus, Galerucella nymphaeae, Neocrepi dodera femorata, Altica oleracea, Aphthona lutescens, Longitarsus pellucidus и личинок Entomoscelis adonidis, H. marginella, G. nymphaeae, впервые для всех видов, кроме P. discolor, L. longimana и C. sericeus. Изу чены ротовые части имаго листоедовантофагов. Мандибулы и максиллы у рассмотренных видов Donacia и Plateumaris несут специальные приспособления для поедания пыльцы. Large grazing herbivores drive the ecology of the site and can have a profound impact on invertebrates, both positive and negative. This survey was commissioned in order to assess the site’s invertebrate assemblage in a standardised and repeatable way both internally between fields and sections and temporally between years. Eight fields were selected across the estate with two in the north, two in the central block -

Luffia Lapidella (Goeze, 1783), a New Bagworm Moth for the Maltese Islands
BULLETIN OF THE ENTOMOLOGICAL SOCIETY OF MALTA (2008) Vol. 1 : 51-54 Luffia lapidella(Goeze, 1783), a new bagworm moth for the Maltese Islands (Lepidoptera: Psychidae) Michael ZERAFA1, Paul SAMMUT2 & Peter HÄTTENSCHWILER3 ABSTRACT. Luffia lapidella is recorded for the first time from the Maltese Islands. Additional notes on the biology and ecology of this species and a list of psychid species known from the Maltese archipelago are included. KEY WORDS. Lepidoptera, Psychidae, Luffia lapidella, Malta, new record. INTRODUCTION The genus Luffia Tutt, 1899 is represented in Europe by four species. Luffia lapidella (Goeze, 1783), the type species, is bisexual and widely distributed in Europe, being found on the Channel Islands, Madeira, Portugal, Spain, France, Corsica, Italy, Sicily, Greece, ex-Yugoslavia and Switzerland (ARNSCHEID , 2004). The form ferchaultella (Stephens, 1850) consisting of only parthenogenetic females is found with the typical form on the Channel Islands, France and Italy. It is also known from the Canary Islands, the Azores, Great Britain and Ireland, Belgium, Germany, Luxemburg and the Netherlands, while the form maggiella Chapman, 1901 (only 1 to 5% of the population being males) is known from Switzerland only. The three other described species are endemic to the Canary Islands. L. rebeli Walsingham, 1908 is confined to Tenerife,L. gomerensis Hendericks, 1996 (HENDERICKS , 1996) occurs in Gomera and L. palmensis Sobczyk, 2001 is known from La Palma (SOBCZYK , 2001).
