HOUSE JOINT RESOLUTION 1189

A RESOLUTION to commend Nick Kistenmacher for his honorable and astute service to the citizens of Tennessee.
WHEREAS, it is fitting that the members of this General Assembly should pay tribute to those estimable public servants who have dedicated themselves to improving the quality of life for their fellow citizens; and
WHEREAS, one such noteworthy individual is Nick Kistenmacher, who has served as
State Director of the Office of United States Senator Marsha Blackburn since 2019; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Kistenmacher began his career in public service in 2003, and he served as the Grants Coordinator for the Office of United States Representative Marsha Blackburn for three years; and
WHEREAS, in 2006, he worked as a West Tennessee field representative for the Bob
Corker for U.S. Senate campaign, and he served as Senior Field Director in the Office of United
States Senator Bob Corker from 2007 to 2019, before taking the helm at his current post as
State Director of the Office of United States Senator Marsha Blackburn; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Kistenmacher holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from George Washington
University in Washington, D.C., and a Master of Arts degree from the University of Tennessee,
Knoxville. He has served as an adjunct professor of political science at the University of
Memphis since 2003 and the University of Tennessee at Martin since 2013; and
WHEREAS, no stranger to awards and accolades, he was honored as one of the Top 40
Under 40 by the Memphis Business Journal in 2013; and

WHEREAS, Nick Kistenmacher is wholly committed to the noble precepts of public service that have earned Tennessee recognition as the Volunteer State, and he should be specially recognized; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE HUNDRED
ELEVENTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF TENNESSEE, THE SENATE
CONCURRING, that we commend Nick Kistenmacher for his honorable and astute service to the good people of Tennessee as the State Director of the Office of United States Senator
Marsha Blackburn and wish him all the best in his future endeavors.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that an appropriate copy of this resolution be prepared for presentation with this final clause omitted from such copy and upon proper request made to the appropriate clerk, the language appearing immediately following the State seal appear without House or Senate designation.
