These deposits were overlain by further silty organic materials, in turn overlain by a further dark occupation later sealed beneath clay sealing deposits and chalk rubble. A deep linear feature across the site was thought to be a robber trench. Archaeological deposits were thought to lay below the proposed construction horizon.
