It was such a great premise for a series that it was just that feeling of the misery that youd feel if you had a chance to be part of that and didnt take advantage of it. In the summer of 2012, NBC had a voting campaign on Revolutions Facebook page where visitors could vote for which American city should have an advance screening of the series pilot in early September. Verne Gay of the Newsday however gave the premiere a neutral review saying Theres an almost overwhelming been-there-seen-that feel to the pilot, which doesnt really oer any suggestion of well, you havent seen this. -
1997 Sundance Film Festival Awards Jurors
1997 SUNDANCE FILM FESTIVAL The 1997 Sundance Film Festival continued to attract crowds, international attention and an appreciative group of alumni fi lmmakers. Many of the Premiere fi lmmakers were returning directors (Errol Morris, Tom DiCillo, Victor Nunez, Gregg Araki, Kevin Smith), whose earlier, sometimes unknown, work had received a warm reception at Sundance. The Piper-Heidsieck tribute to independent vision went to actor/director Tim Robbins, and a major retrospective of the works of German New-Wave giant Rainer Werner Fassbinder was staged, with many of his original actors fl own in for forums. It was a fi tting tribute to both Fassbinder and the Festival and the ways that American independent cinema was indeed becoming international. Former Fellows Biographical Index Part
Former Fellows of The Royal Society of Edinburgh 1783 – 2002 Biographical Index Part Two ISBN 0 902198 84 X Published July 2006 © The Royal Society of Edinburgh 22-26 George Street, Edinburgh, EH2 2PQ BIOGRAPHICAL INDEX OF FORMER FELLOWS OF THE ROYAL SOCIETY OF EDINBURGH 1783 – 2002 PART II K-Z C D Waterston and A Macmillan Shearer This is a print-out of the biographical index of over 4000 former Fellows of the Royal Society of Edinburgh as held on the Society’s computer system in October 2005. It lists former Fellows from the foundation of the Society in 1783 to October 2002. Most are deceased Fellows up to and including the list given in the RSE Directory 2003 (Session 2002-3) but some former Fellows who left the Society by resignation or were removed from the roll are still living. HISTORY OF THE PROJECT Information on the Fellowship has been kept by the Society in many ways – unpublished sources include Council and Committee Minutes, Card Indices, and correspondence; published sources such as Transactions, Proceedings, Year Books, Billets, Candidates Lists, etc. All have been examined by the compilers, who have found the Minutes, particularly Committee Minutes, to be of variable quality, and it is to be regretted that the Society’s holdings of published billets and candidates lists are incomplete. The late Professor Neil Campbell prepared from these sources a loose-leaf list of some 1500 Ordinary Fellows elected during the Society’s first hundred years. He listed name and forenames, title where applicable and national honours, profession or discipline, position held, some information on membership of the other societies, dates of birth, election to the Society and death or resignation from the Society and reference to a printed biography. -

Press Release
Wacky Dog Imageworks, Inc. 440 West 34th St suite 11A NYC 10001 PRESS RELEASE IMMEDIATE RELEASE Contact: Sarah Taylor Wacky Dog Imageworks Phone: 212-594-9443 Email: [email protected] Blue’s Clues Director Bruce Caines Gets Erotic with Giancarlo Esposito and Deadwood’s Kim Dickens (New York, NY June 25, 2005) Critically acclaimed actors, Giancarlo Esposito (Malcolm X, The Usual Suspects, Ali, Smoke, Homicide: Life on the Street) and Kim Dickens (Deadwood, House of Sand and Fog, Things Behind the Sun, Hollowman) have been attached to play the leads in the psychological, erotic thriller, Adele, to be directed by Emmy Award nominated Bruce Caines, who did a three year stretch on the set of Nickelodeon’s wildly popular children’s show, Blue’s Clues. Caines will be making his feature film directorial debut with the drama penned by John Bernstein (Turn Right by the Yellow Dog, A Corner of Paradise) and Derek Bergstrom. The dark screenplay is based on Danish novelist Peter Rønnov-Jessen’s book of the same name. Adele is the first feature co-produced by Caines’ fledgling film and media production cooperative Wacky Dog Imageworks. Wacky Dog will partner with Sterling Worldwide Entertainment’s Pierre Romain (Mind The Gap) who will be on board as executive producer. Adele, the story of an overworked, underenthused family man who becomes caught in an adulterous affair with a sadomasochistic woman could best be described as Fatal Attraction meets Last Tango In Paris. ”I am thrilled to be working on this project,” offers Esposito, who has been instrumental in its development. -

ABSTRACT the Women of Supernatural: More Than
ABSTRACT The Women of Supernatural: More than Stereotypes Miranda B. Leddy, M.A. Mentor: Mia Moody-Ramirez, Ph.D. This critical discourse analysis of the American horror television show, Supernatural, uses a gender perspective to assess the stereotypes and female characters in the popular series. As part of this study 34 episodes of Supernatural and 19 female characters were analyzed. Findings indicate that while the target audience for Supernatural is women, the show tends to portray them in traditional, feminine, and horror genre stereotypes. The purpose of this thesis is twofold: 1) to provide a description of the types of female characters prevalent in the early seasons of Supernatural including mother-figures, victims, and monsters, and 2) to describe the changes that take place in the later seasons when the female characters no longer fit into feminine or horror stereotypes. Findings indicate that female characters of Supernatural have evolved throughout the seasons of the show and are more than just background characters in need of rescue. These findings are important because they illustrate that representations of women in television are not always based on stereotypes, and that the horror genre is evolving and beginning to depict strong female characters that are brave, intellectual leaders instead of victims being rescued by men. The female audience will be exposed to a more accurate portrayal of women to which they can relate and be inspired. Copyright © 2014 by Miranda B. Leddy All rights reserved TABLE OF CONTENTS Tables -
